The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

There's a thread called "NUCLEAR TERROR THREAT AGAINST U.S. CITIES FOR MORNING OF 8/5 " on IH. I guess the threat is posted at spirit of truth or something but I can't get that site to pull up. Anyway, on IH they are saying not to believe EOM. Is this his threat? Anybody know more about it?

There's a thread called "NUCLEAR TERROR THREAT AGAINST U.S. CITIES FOR MORNING OF 8/5 " on IH.

I've seen some mention of the 5th, however, if such an attack was this immenent and known to the general internet crowd, I'm sure that we'd be at level RED quicker than quick. I consider the chatter to be more RUMINT than actual at this time. I'm more concerned about Sept 2 at the RNC.

I agree. Have to think about the psychological makeup and training of the "trigger pullers" in such a case. If they're pros with a high amount of training, will they think independently and out of the box? Will they assess the risk factor and have enough intuition to proceed to another target or stand down to insure success another day? Folks with training in infiltration can recede into the background, fade away and strike at another target, later.

Fanatics don't need a lot of wasted training in "trade craft." They can be trusted to execute a suicide operation on time and within the parameters rehearsed in the plan. But they won't be able to function for long periods of time in an American cultural landscape, which they both hate and fear for the freedoms it gives to women. They'll know this and be more likely to just go ahead and pull the trigger anyway on the last named and planned target. There is a distinct danger to us in this mindset. If we fail to think like the fanatic, we may assume there is too much risk to the terrorists and subconsciously drop our guard, just enough for a suicide operation to succeed.

It's not enough to catch them in the act, because even putting a bullet into the forehead of somebody whose thumb is on the trigger of a nuclear or ANFO device equipped with a "dead man switch" won't stop them because the event still occurs. Was that too convoluted a sentence? Do you see what I'm getting at, here?

In his newest email messages, the infamous "EOM", who is more likely an attention seeking hack rather than a member of al Qaeda as he purports to be (see below), has indicated that nuclear detonations will occur in New York City, Washington DC, Baltimore and Miami on August 5th.

Then Amerikkkka dead. New York, Washington, Baltimore and Miami
will all experience nuklear detonations Thursday morning Aug 5th and
three more cities will follow the next day. Is possible for one day
delay yet not likely as New York must be bombed first.

In the extremely unlikely case that this is a valid threat, I'm posting it on the internet before 8/5 just in case. If the threat is authentic, then, as is dealt with at the end of my article from earlier this year below, do not attribute what is happening to al Qaeda, but rather ultimately to the "Grey Terror" of Moscow.

Easily understood. I don't agree with the premise of the article.

It assumes that the head is cut off, and I'm not convinced of that.

It also assumes that these guys are drones, but I'm more inclined to think they've got standing orders to be self reliant WRT targets.

Official suspended after ordering mock terror drill

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (AP) — The official who staged a security drill that disrupted a county commission meeting with guns and mock hostage-takers has been suspended while an investigation is under way.

Ernest Jackson, the emergency management director, will be off the job until the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation finishes its probe of Monday’s drill, which left officials, law enforcement and members of the public upset and angry, Carter County Mayor Dale Fair said.

The Monday meeting was about to take up two tax proposals when three men and a woman burst in with guns drawn and claimed to be taking hostages. One man threatened to explode a bomb with a device he was holding, and another fired a shot, which turned out to be a blank.

As the meeting dissolved in confusion, Jackson announced it was only a drill.

The sheriff and a few commissioners were told about the drill a few minutes before the meeting but didn’t know the details. The city police didn’t know a drill was planned and responded to what they thought was a hostage situation.

“I had not been informed that this was a drill. I thought the gun and the bomb detonation device looked real,” Fair said. “I am just glad no one was physically injured.”

The votes on a property tax hike and a new wheel tax had to be postponed.

Renee Bowers, who will take over while Jackson is suspended, said her agency had been trying to make county disaster drills more realistic.

“We may not face a threat from international terrorists, but we can still face a terrorist threat,” Bowers said.

A least one local resident saw humor in the situation, printing up and selling T-shirts that read, “I survived the terrorist attack at the Carter County Courthouse.”
