When John Kerry, John Edwards and their wives descended on a Newburgh, New York, Wendys on Friday for a 'lite" lunch with the common people, it was all just a photo op.
Team Kerry Edwards had already ordered their real lunches - consisting of five star gourmet food from a tony local restaurant - with instructions to have the haute cuisine ready for pick-up after the top Democrats ditched Wendy's.
"A member of the Kerry advance team called Nikola’s Restaurant at the Newburgh Yacht Club the night before and ordered 19 five-star lunches to go that would be picked up at noon Friday," MidHudsonNews.com reported on Sunday.
"Management at the restaurant, which is operated by CIA graduate chef Michael Dederick, was told the meals would be for the Kerry and Edwards families and actor Ben Affleck who was with them on the tour."
After tossing out their cheeseburgers and chili, Kerry and Edwards feasted on shrimp vindallo, grilled diver sea scallops, prosciutto, wrapped stuffed chicken, and steak salad.
The meals came to about $200, MidHudson News said.

If her husband wasn't a senator from N.C. who is running for vice-president he'd be chasing down the class-action client roster of fatsos to sue the chain restaurants for billions!
She's fair game, especially considering that her husband and his running "mate" are left wing idiots who together have an ACU voting record of zero!
I agree. My comment referenced the discussions so far on FR with regard to her weight. Many, many here have characterized it as some kind of character flaw, with a few going so far as to term her decision to have children late in life as "evil."

I have no intention of messing with the women's elevated avoirdupois. I also have no intention of taking orders from anyone.

Read the post by Silverleaf. The Edwards lost a son at 16. Mrs. Edwards isn't running nor been giving poltical speeches. I agree her husband is the kind of ambulance chasing lawyer that is hurting this country, but her wieght plays no part in that.
If every one judged conservatives by your comments they could be turned off big time. I would like to see a picture of you.
Yes I am fat and I have loads of friends because I don't judge their looks. The dems do enough to reject without attacking the one thing that draws mothers to Edwards, that is her motherly look and her children.
I want Bush elected not turn people off by cheap childish remarks that has no substance.
I know, and appreciated your point. BTW I beleive it was Silverleaf who posted a vanity about how the Edwards' lost their son from a traffic accident at 16 so she had more children, late in life. I have no beef with her - as long as she doesn't enter the arena - so to speak. Even if she does, her weight is not the issue.
