John Kerry's heavily hyped cross-country bus tour stumbled out of the blocks yesterday, as a group of Marines publicly dissed the Vietnam War hero in the middle of a crowded restaurant.
Kerry was treating running mate Sen. John Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, to a Wendy's lunch in Newburgh, N.Y., for their 27th wedding anniversary — an Edwards family tradition — when the candidate approached four Marines and asked them questions.
The Marines — two in uniform and two off-duty — were polite but curt while chatting with Kerry, answering most of his questions with a "yes, sir" or "no, sir."
But they turned downright nasty after the Massachusetts senator thanked them "for their service" and left.
"He imposed on us and I disagree with him coming over here shaking our hands," one Marine said, adding, "I'm 100 percent against [him]."

What IS it with Fox News now, they seem to be treating Pres. Bush as someone in a totally hopeless situation. Even Brian Wilson sitting in for Brit came across as very negative toward him.
I tell you, this picture looks like Kerry got po-ed that this Marine wasn`t kissing his butt for this photo-op, and Kerry went into his "Do you know who I am" routine.

i'm glad to hear it. I was watching foxnews for over an hour this afternoon though and didnt see any mention of it. They should be playing it on the loop/cycle.
Kerry's pointer is sharpened? It's long enogh to be used as some weird kung-foo-movie type weapon!
its simple - they rode to the #1 cable news slot on the backs of conservative viewership, now they are shifting left to get "mainstream" viewers to bolster their ratings.
They are very much like Kerry and the Dems - they preached hatred of Bush and our military efforts to secure their base, then when the convention rolled around, they made themselves appear to be optimistic moderates.
Take away Brit Hume and Hannity from Fox - and what do they have to offer a conservative audience? nothing.
The Marine sitting down in the picture looks like he'd like to get up and break Kerry's finger!
The pompous piece of sh*t, Kerry, offends always. He is a sick man, delusional, and when he loses this election and Teraaaaaaaaaayza splits on him, he will either be found hanging somewhere or he'll be out making another Vietnam reinactment film. What a total fraud!
Political concern focused on being elected and not considering the importance of the position sought after can lead a politician to personal and political demise!
Notice that Kerry's pointing his finger in an aggressive manner and the Marine has his fist clinched? There's a lot of tension in this scene.
