The Return of the Cheney Chicks!!!
Miss Marple | July 30, 2004 | Miss Marple

Posted on 07/30/2004 6:37:14 PM PDT by Miss Marple

Ladies!! Our honor has been tarnished! The democrats think we are swayed by a pretty hairdo and a toothy grin!

Four years ago, in answer to the media portraying Dick Cheney as an old geezer, I posted a thread titled "Are You a Cheney Chick?" (Anyone who has that thread bookmarked, please post it here! I was unable to locate it.)

Well, here we are, and the democrats are acting like Pretty Boy Edwards will trump our hero. BAH!

I would like the ladies of Free Republic to speak up for our wonderful Vice President. Please post all thoughts, pictures, and links that prove that those of us who admire Vice President Cheney are in the mainstream of thought.

Gentlemen are also welcome to this thread. I have posted this in response to the idiotic democrats who think that John Edwards is a suitable replacement.

Stand up for Dick Cheney, the greatest Vice President in the history of our nation!!

"I have never had any long fantasies about Dick Cheney (if you know what I mean), but I do think he's a very attractive man, definitely sexy."

Well, I haven't actually either, but maybe I'll consider starting! :-) A fantasy about either of the johns sounds more like a horrible nightmare.

Thanks for the ping MM.

I'm still a Cheney Chick, as well as a Bush Bot and a Rummy Fan.

Cheney is so steady. He has a calming effect when he speaks and you know that what he says is true. What a brilliant, successful, endearing man and we are so lucky to have him as our Vice President.

I'm sorry ... I should have just closed the browser instead of letting it refresh after that last.

IS THERE SOME REASON we must be discussing in public the "fantasies" about middle-aged MARRIED men we'll never meet and who -- supposedly -- are in office to protect these "traditional" values we hold so dear?

I loathe him on many counts -- anyone who consent to be interviewed in Hefner's mag is part of the "Free Speech" problem -- but I think Carter was on the money where adultery of the heart was concerned.

This may be ripe sort of chitchat for joking on an atheist site but it just seems damned untoward here ... particularly on a thread for the Ladies.

I deliberately avoided watching the Dem convention but did watch the firework show afterwards on Fox. And was struck by how needy both Kerry's wife and Edwards' wife seemed. They seemed to be looking at their husbands pleading for reassurance, even notice, sort of tail between the legs. And both men sort of patted their women absent mindedly.

And I contrasted that with the adoring look that Nancy Reagan gave Ronny, and the proud look Laura gives George. When they look each other in the eye, you can just tell how much they love each other. Even Hillary, as much as I dislike her, isn't needy.

Can't even imagine Nancy, Laura or Hillary looking tail between the legs in public.

What is up with Ter-ay-za and Elizabeth Edwards? Why so needy ("love me love me love me")?

Dick Cheney makes John Edwards look like Ned in the First
Reader - and I am unanimous in that! I am a Cheney Twinkie!

I think he's fantastic - or otherwise the Dems wouldn't be trying so hard to get rid of him.

I've heard a couple of his addresses (and also Q&A sessions with the press), and he really nailed the issues and left the audiences cheering (and the press nursing their wounds).

Thanks, Aske.

When I read your last post, I thought maybe you had problems with your vision. Now I see you don't. :o)

(You don't REALLY think Kerry and Edwards are 'manly' do you????)

I don't know much about Elizabeth (except she doesn't have the morals to realize that the Radio City foul fest was foul), but I think TahRAYzuh may have a mental disorder.

She's got SERIOUS problems, and I'm pretty sure that her 'husband' is a large part of them....

...but I gotta admit I'm a little floored it's THAT important to "Them" too.

It became "that" important to them too when they realized it would land them Ronald Reagan's defective genes as a keynote speaker.

Dems do their damndest to find a couple of manly men to front the ticket and flash a little leg for ya.

Manly men? You describe the Ambiguously Gay Duo as "manly men". Does Edwards even shave?

No I don't. To be honest, I thought Kerry had a lively and well-delivered speech. But I was definitely put off by the baby-faced Edwards and his goofy cheerleading from the loge and thought it interesting that -- during the huggy-kissy bit with The Brothers -- they kept the camera on perfectly programmed Kerry lest the slightest wince give the game away.

(My only TV is dying a slow death and I'm media deprived. I hadn't seen or actually heard either in action yet and it was sorta stomach-churning.)

That said ... anyone who remembers the size of the feather Trent Lott's stuck in his hatband at Prairie Chapel knows well that the Dems don't exactly have a lock on the gay thing. The Log Cabin Republicans have had our number a while now.

AlwaysConservative, a bona-fide CheneyChick, reporting for duty! (I know, I know, but I couldn't resist!)

I have always felt that smarts, integrity, and self-deprecating humor were waaaaaaaaaaay more sexy than someone who tries to coast by or snark money on his looks or superficial charm. And I still giggle when I remember that Cheney's comment on Edwards was that he was just as "cute as a button"!

This CheneyChick is a true fan!

You are a complete dud. If you think Kerry and Edwards are "manly men" then you are completely off your rocker.

As long as you have been here you have been sneering at Bush and pretending that you are the most intelligent and ethical person on this forum.

I am not buying it. I am disgusted with you, don't feel a bit bad about feeling so, and wish fervently that you would go back to your compatriots at whatever forum you usually frequent. The fact that you would use a pro-Cheney thread to trash Bush just shows everyone what kind of person you are.

And again I say, go pound sand. You don't fool me a bit.
