"But- who were those dweezles riding across Boston Harbor with Kerry on the Good Ship Lollipop?"

Enlisted, the photo is of officers only.

Why do the TV and Cable Newsrooms
hide Hanoi Kerry's past?

"It is a fact that in the entire Vietnam War we did not lose one major battle.
We lost the war at home and at home John Kerry was the field general"

- Bob Elder, Swift Boat Veteran For Truth

DD 214 shows 17 Feb 72 terminal date of Reserve Obligation.

Kerry's anti war activities were doing this period!

What is Senator John Kerry's relationship to VVAW?
http://www.vvaw.org/faq/#4

Since Vietnam Veterans Against the War's inception in 1967, tens of thousands of vets, GIs and supporters have participated in and supported the actions of VVAW. One of those members in the early 1970s was John Kerry. Kerry was appointed to the VVAW Executive Committee to assist in preparing Dewey Canyon III, VVAW's limited incursion into the land of Congress in 1971 (Nicosia, 98-99). Kerry made his greatest contribution to the anti-war movement and to VVAW in his speech to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations on April 23, 1971 (Brinkley, 371-373: Hunt, 109-110; Nicosia, 136-138; Wells, 495).
Content of the speech is found at: http://lists.village.virginia.edu/sixties/HTML_docs/Resources/Primary/Manifestos/VVAW_Kerry_Senate.html.
By 1972, John Kerry had moved on from VVAW (Brinkley, 406: Hunt, 127-128; Nicosia, 211).
He was not one of the original founding members of VVAW in 1967.

VVAW supported demonstration, Washington Spring Offensive, April - May 1971

Kerry was a supporter of the "People's Peace Treaty," a supposed "people's" declaration to end the war, reportedly drawn up in communist East Germany.

It included nine points, all of which were taken from Viet Cong peace proposals at the Paris peace talks as conditions for ending the war.

One of the provisions stated: "The Vietnamese pledge that as soon as the U.S. government publicly sets a date for total withdrawal [from Vietnam], they will enter discussion to secure the release of all American prisoners, including pilots captured while bombing North Vietnam."

In other words, Kerry and his VVAW advocated the communist line to withdraw all U.S. troops from Vietnam first and then negotiate with Hanoi over the release of prisoners. Had the nine points of the "People's Peace Treaty" favored by Kerry been accepted by American negotiators, the United States would have totally lost all leverage to get the communists to release any POWs captured during the war years.

Vice President Spiro T. Agnew said that Kerry, "who drew rave notices in the media for his eloquent testimony before Congress," was using material ghosted for him by a former Kennedy speech writer (Adam Walinsky).

Notice the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong flags.

I'm not computer savvy enough to do it but, there is a Kerry "Flip-Flop" video linked at the BushCountry.org headline that is PRICELESS!

I have not seen that video linked anywhere at FR but it certainly should be.

?????? Curious. On another thread Skip Barker and Ralph Dobson were listed as supporters. On this one only Skip is listed as such.

Ralph Dobson no longer supports Kerry. This news just "broke" today, per www.swiftvets.com's email to me requesting that I update the photo to show that Ralph Dobson doesn't support Kerry and says Kerry is "unfit".

THIS IS A 'SCOOP' THREAD!!!!

The interesting thing about kerry's so called Veteran supporters would be to know how long have they been re-united. I think one would be very safe in assuming they never heard of kerry until he decided that they could be exploited for political purposes. Do you suppose they were his house guests?? Did he meet with them for beers? I think not...probably the only way they showed up in the first place is they have been promised cushy jobs if he is elected. They better not plan their retirement plans on that event!!

It could end up to be really embarrassing if al Kerry is the only Swift Boater for himself.

The one officer in the picture who supports Kerry is Skip Barker. Rassmusen (sp?) was a passenger on one of the patrols. He fell overboard and Kerry helped him back in the boat. Kerry received the Bronze Star for that action. According to Elder, who was on patrol with him as the CO of one the other PCFs, the rescue of Rassmusen was not done under fire, and in fact, someone on another boat also fell in the water and was similarly rescued but no Bronze Star was awarded. According to Elder, there was an explosion or some brief fire on shore, which caused the boats to accelerate quickly, which caused the men to go overboard. Elder said it was as quite as a church when the rescue took place.

More than likely, Kerry wrote up the after action report for his boat and somehow was awarded a medal. Since Kerry won't allow full disclosure of his military records, we don't know who nominated him for the award or the approving authority.

One or another series on this subject stated that the pro-Kerry group were all enlisted (all but one?) while the very prominent photo shown here are officers - his 'peers' at the time.

We still don't know what percentage of enlisted men, of all those he might have served over or in proximity of, fall into the pro or con categories.

Do we?
