A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos) - 7.29.04

President and Mrs. Bush emerged from their Crawford, Texas ranch today (looking rested and ready to go) via Air Force One from Waco to Washington, and will begin a Midwest campaign blitz Friday, including visits to Ohio, Missouri and Michigan in just one day. Today he led a video conferencing meeting with his working group regarding the 9/11 Commission report, and is making plans to implement the changes they deem necessary, some by executive order, possibly as early as next week. The President also issued Executive Orders lifting the sanctions on Iraq due to the ‘removal of the regime of Saddam Hussein and other developments.’

Whitehouse.gov also did us a BIG favor today, by posting a series of Presidential pictures from the past which I will post for your enjoyment!

The Democrat lunacy is almost over and it‘s another good day to be a Bushbot, so enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!

Yes, very refreshing after all the lies! I just felt so positive and calm and happy after listening to his encouraging words. I don't know where the RATS came up with the cr** they did all week, do you? Do you think the rest of the country listened with discerning ears?

To my dismay (but not too much surprise) my MIL told my husb. how she enjoyed listening to Terraaayyyzzzaa and the John's. Tim really gave it to her about their lies and etc. I hope she doesn't bring it up to me! Unfortunately she's one of those people who likes it if it "sounds" good and is all "warm and fuzzy."

A few weeks ago she started criticizing the Pres. about his "negative attack ads". I told her I didn't think they qualified as "negative" or "attack" when they merely presented the truth about a person or people. That shut her up, at least temporarily!

I was thinking about John K's statement to the Pres. about no negative ads, and have come to the conclusion that he's scared to death that the truth about his record in Vietnam, his record in the Senate, his record of flip-flops, etc., is going to come out, so he's pre-empting it by calling the ads "negative" in advance. What do you think?

I think you're right that he (Kerry) has a lot to lose if the truth is finally shouted far and wide. That's why, as the RNC is saying, his party has been trying to give him an "extreme makeover".

No, I don't think a lot of the country was really tuned into this. Not as closely as some of us at FR anyway! (Where's my purple heart for sitting through these liberal diatribes?) Your MIL sounds like an individual who won't back down from her notions as errant as they are.......but you will stay the course, and maybe she'll watch you being strong in your convictions and at least agree to disagree.

I sat thru them too, and rewarded myself with a day of shopping!

My MIL has many "errant notions" and no, she won't back down. Usually, for the sake of peace in the family, I just agree to disagree. However, when it comes to matters of values and character, I argue at least a bit more. I hope to just get her to THINK for HERSELF a bit; sometimes I think that's the highest goal we can have.

I don't know how to BEGIN a new post. There's quite a bit I need to learn about posting on FR. Usually, by the time I get online, everyone else has gone to bed, so I read, sometimes post a reply and then get to sleep. That's one reason I've never learned to do the fancy things you guys know how to do, like change fonts, colors, post pics, etc. I do good to post anything. :) Please try to remember to ping me. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. This will be my first convention. Not sure why I never wanted to attend before, but something about President Bush being president, has made me want to attend many things that never interested me in the past. I'm going up on Sunday and leaving on Friday.

We're (NC Delegation) staying here: http://warwick-new-york.visit-new-york-city.com/ 54th Street and 5th Avenue
I understand that each state will stay at a different hotel. Some of the smaller states might be in the same one.

Anyway, it will be loads of fun--meeting a lot of the Freepers from around the US.
