XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX THU JULY 29, 2004 10:24:25 ET XXXXX

RON REAGAN RIPS BUSH IN ESQUIRE ESSAY

Ron Reagan has written a scathing, sweeping, 4,100 word critique of President Bush (not on stem cell) that will be appearing in next month's ESQUIRE magazine. Reagan doesn't hold back in this candid piece where he shares his real feelings towards our 43rd President.

"The Bush Administration cannot be trusted."

"George W. Bush and his administration have taken normal mendacity to a startling new level far beyond lies of convenience."

"They traffic in big lies, indulge in any number of symptomatic small lies, and ultimately, have come to embody dishonesty itself. They are a lie. And people, finally, have started catching on."

"When Nobel laureates, a vast majority of the scientific community, and a host of current and former diplomats, intelligence operatives, and military officials line up against you, it becomes increasingly difficult to characterize the opposition as fringe wackos."

"Given candidate Bush's remarks, it was hard to imagine him, as president, flipping a stiff middle finger at the world and charging off adventuring in the Middle East."

"Even as of this writing, Dick Cheney clings to his mad assertion that Saddam was somehow at the nexus of a worldwide terror network."

"What followed was the usual administration strategy of stonewalling, obstruction and obfuscation."

"But image is everything in this White House, and that image of George Bush as a noble and infallible warrior in the service of his nation must be fanatically maintained, because behind the image lies*nothing?"

"He is ineloquent not because he cannot speak but because he doesn't bother to think."

"His Republican party, furthermore, seems a far cry from the current model, with its cringing obeisance to the religious Right and its kill-anything-that-moves attack instincts."

I cannot express how angered I am about all of this. This is not what his father would have desired.

This tutu-wearing liberal jerk is a disgrace to his father's name.

I know that Mike Reagan is probably holding back from slapping his insolent brother around, but maybe Mike needs to publish in some big-time periodical talking about what's at stake if Bush isn't re-elected. Mike is the true heir of the Reagan name, and so he has an important responsibility.

Next month would be a good time for the Administration to release a final report on Saddam's WMD programs, and his known links to international terror.

The ballerina is a disgrace. He dishonors his father at every turn. Compare the two sons of former presidents. Bush was a businessman, governor, and now president himself, leading the nation at war with Islamic fascism. Ron Reagan never did anything of consequence, and is now allowing himself to be used by the democrats for a few moments in the spotlight. It boggles the mind how a great man like President Reagan could sire such a useless oxygen thief.

My read on this: Ronald Reagan Jr has had a very hard time being accepted by the gay community because of his name. This is his attempt to get some.

Michael probably can't find a magazine to print his article. They only want to hear from the Ballerina because he doesn't like Bush. How sad

Poor little Ronnie.

He is the son of a president.
W is the son of a president.

Ronnie is a failed ballerina, a dog show analyst, and will forever be in his father's shadow
W is an accomplished President, and may be considered by history to be among it's greatest

And last of all little Ronnie is so fabulously gay!

His cheap shots at Bush are so transparent. They are not about Bush or his alleged shortcomings, they are about little Ronnie's own shame.

Ron Ron did not have the guts to come out and forward his wisdom while his father was still alive, nor within earshot of the real Ron being able to shoot back at his hideous worm.
Sooner or later reverse worms attempt to hatch and try to fly.
Hyenas waited patiently to make and corral their catch.

After recent articles this really does not shock me. You know one can have differences but in the end just acting respectful would help. He has chosen not to do this, and, I find his behavior in bad taste.

I look at the Kennedy's and while I do not agree on any of their views, family, God and Country come first .... they are all democrats.

Dunno folks, quite a sad day.

Any mention that President Bush is the FIRST and ONLY president to fund embryonic stem cell research.

That there are cells available for research that have not been requested due to the fact that the early experiments have resulted in the death of the patients.

That embryonic stem cell research is NOT illegal in America and private industry is free to do research.

Other countries are experimenting with NO favorable results.

You bet it is in bad taste.

He is an atheist and is shows all over his girlish demeanor and whiney vocalizations.

This poor, lost, angry soul has used his Father's celebrity as a great actor, statesman and beloved President to launch a career that attempts to tramp on his father's beliefs.

When I see him, I see a smallish metro-sexual who is willing to be used by people his father would simply wave away with a flick of his hand, or a look of sheer disgust.

Ron is weak. Perhaps he does fit into the liberal end of things, but that he is using his opinions now, just after his Father's death, and immediately before the next election, to hurt President Bush, whose own father was the VP for President Reagan, just puts Ronny Jr. in that shitload of worthless liberals who have the convictions of selfish, immature punks.

Nancy will see this essay-and it will hurt her.

This little puke is the perfect demoRAT. Independent - my sweet arse.
