they're in boston. there's something in the water. I was in boston on business for about a week, and before I could get out of there, I started to reconsider my suppport for the death penalty.
I was soooooooo happy to get back home.
That guy Chris Wallace (FoxNews) was just interviewing said John Kerry stayed on the issues in his stump speeches and didn't attack Bush.
[I guess the guy doesn't remember the typical Kerry speech pattern: "I have a plan, but George Bush is bad blah blah blah..."]
LOL .. Time will tell
Why would you think that?
Okay folks. This is the third night of this convention. The goal of this convention was to introduce John Kerry to America...show people who he is. Does anybody think that they accomplished this goal on Day 3? I don't. That leaves them one more day to accomplish it. The clock is ticking...tick, tick, tick!
Actually, I was just thinking they could make a great campaign commercial out of Edwards speech. Show him shouting "Hope is on the Way" answered by the crowd, then show Cheney at the 2000 convention saying "Help is on the Way" answered by the crowd. Then play Edwards saying "No place they can run, no place they can hide" Followed by President Bush (with the date) saying "No place they can run, no place they can hide". Then play the part about he and Kerry getting countries to forgive Iraq's debt, followed by Colin Powell announcing who agreed to forgive Iraq's debt (with the date). End it by saying If you agree with Edwards, vote for Bush.
Best start praying he doesn't
Have they done it yet? I'm still waiting. From reading all the posts tonight, all the speakers at best gave Kerry a tepid endorsement.
Ya-ya-ya-ya-socialism
Well ... tonight I learned from Edwards that Kerry was in a war somewhere. I listened to Tereza's speech last night and I learned a lot about her, such as ... ah .... (hold on I gotta check my notes) ...
OK. how many are NOT retarded, and are still sober enough to stand up.
He was so over hyped, he never reached expectations. It is interesting how they are trying to turn into hawks, using David Copperfield smoke and mirrors.
Ha! It didn't take long.
Candy Crowley on CNN saying Rev. Sharpton got a much better response from the delegates than did Edwards!
I'm looking it from the other side of the desk. I graduated at the top of my class in high school and was offered full scholarships from two universities. Most people say high school is the best four years of your life -- for me it was pure hell. I killed myself for every tenth of a point in my grade average, and I was in direct competition with another student for the top spot. It's no stretch to say that, grade-wise, we fought like a couple of rabid wolverines. I've mellowed out *a lot* since, but I now have two master's degrees and a good job at a great company. It was a hard slog, way harder than I ever imagined, but now I'm enjoying the fruits of my labors and I'll fight damned hard to protect what I've earned -- I have *no* respect for the people who slacked off and are now complaining about how they're strapped. I can tell the difference between my friends who did their best and those who were slackers and so my tolerance level for the types of people who go for this class warfare garbage is nonexistent.
Aaron Brown: What was it like in The Hall?
Crowley: A sea of red and white. This was the choir. Without all the paraphernalia [nonsensical gibberish], Al Sharpton really seemed to connect in a passionate way. (YAY!!! - Ed.)
Ah yes, back to the good old days when we didn't know what Wall Street, North Korea, Iran and bin Laden were doing. Back to the good old days when education was worse, minority home ownership was less and taxes were higher. This stuff is absurd, John Kerry and John Edwards couldn't have steered an inflatable raft out of the mess Clinton handed Bush.
Oh Geez ... forget my last post .. It's late .. I'm tired and I TOTALLY MISREAD YOUR POST *L*
