Did anyone hear Chris Wallace (Fox News) comment immediately following Teresa's speech, that he was surprised she did not break out singing "Don't cry for me Argentina"? I don't think I dreamed it....

I just happen to flip over to her speech the few moments she was speaking a different language. I just assummed she was talking to her French, German, and Spanish leaders that she is in cohorts with and telling them everything in the plan is working.

Because she obviously was not talking to ME (an American who speaks English), so I switched the channel.

Wouldn't marrying a U.S. citizen (especially a Senator) kind of take care of that?

No. My wife is an immigrant and when we got married in 1982 (she was here on a student visa) she was able to become a Permanent Resident. However, it took an additional five years and lots of paperwork for her to become a citizen. Many Permanent Residents don't take that last step.

Did she credit President Lincoln for the quote? (I assume she did not)

Intersting that you refer to Lincoln. I think there are many parallels between this election and the election of 1864. There is something very McClellanesque about Kerry.

You do not automatically become an American citizen by marrying an American. My hubby is from England...in fact, he was not a citizen while he fought for this country in Viet Nam...and received two very real Purple Hearts while in combat. Upon returning he went through the process to become a citizen and we proudly watched his swearing in at Camp Lejune, NC in 1970.

Yes indeed ... there IS a VERY GOOD reason for George Washington to have warned us regarding the perils of foreign influence.....

"Though the crowd had already stopped cheering and applauding, she gestured with her hands to quiet them, as if her body were programmed in advance to do so. The hands lingered a few moments too long, hanging there in front of her while the audience was silent."

That had to be the eeriest moment in a speech full of eerie moments. She looked like a Cleopatra robot. I think she had programmed that motion a certain number of times to illustrate the near-riot of cheers for her, and the crowd didn't cheer as long as she had programmed for. But she kept right on with the motion, seemingly oblivious of the silence around her.

Teresa may be the one thing Hillary (as channelled through Terry McAwful) cannot control. Isn't that a shame?

On C-Span, the camera spanned the audience a lot and often fell on Hillary. No, she didn't look pleased and she seemed unaware that the camera was on her. Once, Chelsea looked positive and animated while Hill looked dour. The next time I saw them, Hill had moved and Jesse Jackson had taken Hill's seat beside of Chelsea who moved over as much as she could away from him and looked rather unhappy. I noticed that Bill was nowhere with Hill and Chelsea, at least that I could see.

I also saw the camera on the blond Kerry daughter. She had her arm around the shoulders of another woman who she appeared to be pulling toward her. Very odd. I don't think it was her sister.

This is a terrific analysis. Two points: 1) he did not mention her apparent medication-induced state and 2) this reminded me of the line from Tevye's song If I Were a Rich Man from Fiddler on the Roof:

When you're rich they think you really know...

I would not be proud to have this woman as First Lady. Too quirky/earthy/United Nations-ish

Yeah, okay, but what was that crap about calling out the angels, that's just weird.

I am very new, so I am not sure about what you are agreeing with me about ("Yeah, okay,") is it the way she plagiarized Lincoln perhaps?.

Moving on however, I must say that her "calling to the angels" statement was not only weird, but seems to give the impression that she feels very almighty indeed.

I am so lost! Now I must guess how I was being silly, so let me give it a try.

It is silly to think Teresa would actually give credit to a Republican President for words coming out of Her Mouth.

Am I right?

There is something very McClellanesque about Kerry.

So, that's what it is, huh?

"Didn't you just love the way she bent down to the microphone and slooooowly said, "I...am...Tereza Heiiiinz Kerry"

ie., she was letting everyone know that SHE expects to become our Empress. And newly weds shall give their first born to her to devour as a sacrifice to her gods.

She's cracked, kick her to the curb.

Evita Heinz obviously likes listening to alternative pop music radio stations and gets her speech material from song lyrics. Wooooooo Hooooo! Coco puffs for Coo Coo Kerry
