Wouldn't marrying a U.S. citizen (especially a Senator) kind of take care of that?

No. My wife is an immigrant and when we got married in 1982 (she was here on a student visa) she was able to become a Permanent Resident. However, it took an additional five years and lots of paperwork for her to become a citizen. Many Permanent Residents don't take that last step.

Yes indeed ... there IS a VERY GOOD reason for George Washington to have warned us regarding the perils of foreign influence.....

Thanks for the example. What seems to happen is it takes time to become a permanaent resident and then you need to become a citizen. IMHO none of this is ever mentioned about Theresa because something didn't happen or it took a good deal longer. In any case, I remain surprised that no reporter or pundit has inquired about this matter. Ditto for her tax returns. She still has not released them in spite of rumors suggesting her rate is only 15% after tax shelters and tax free income efforts. This woman has received a free pass from all the knowledgeable including the Pubbie investigators.

Often, but not always, what is not spoken of screams for attention.
