Campaign strategists said the millions of voters who don’t know about Kerry comprise the audience they’re targeting convention week.

"Challengers sometimes get their convention and vice presidential selection bounces because they have not consolidated their partisan base," Kerry’s pollster, Mark Mellman, wrote in a recent memo. This year, he said, "there is little base left for John Kerry to consolidate."

Could it be that the real Kerry was introduced in March, or April, or May, and we just didn't like him? Or, is this a new "reveal" like extreme makeovers? Will this madeover Kerry will have all new policy positions? Tune in tommorrow night.

It's hilarious to start that Kerry has been a US Senator for 19 years and most Americans didn't know who the heck he was..
In 2000, Al Gore 're-invented' himself something like 6 times, and it still didn't help.
Underneath all the media-paint, they are still the same person. In Kerry's instance, he is still and indecisive, waffler who has little substance and not much accomplishment to run on, except 4 month in Viet Nam 35 years ago. His nearly 20 years in the Senate produced 1 failed bill that he sponsorsed and 2 failed bills that he co-sponsored.

Appropriate Kerry introduction: "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Mozambique Candidate, bought and paid for by Teresa Heinz." Why else does she, among other things, get a prime time speaking opportunity at the Democrat National Convention.

I think thats become very obvious, not just to us that support President Bush, but to the Democratic strategists, who understand clearly every time Kerry "goes public" his numbers drop accordingly.
This is no different than Daschle suggesting that the Democrats lost in 2000, lost in 2002, and are losing today because "We haven't got our message out".
And just like then, the reality is "Yes, you did get your message out...and it was rejected again."
Being a liberal means you never accept the fact you aren't believed, you aren't correct, and you are not liked by the voters. You just do as Michael Moore did last night on O'Reilly, ignore the truth, ignore the available facts.
Same thing for Imus, btw, as Mary Matalin demonstrated this morning when she told him "You can't just keep making up facts, Imus!"

I learned all I need about Kerry from 1971.
I can't understand why the message just isn't getting out.
I mean, if they would just meet John Kerry, wouldn't they know he's the man for the job.
If the people would just see him like the Dim's see him, they would know what a stand-up guy he really is.

Perhaps it should read like this. Today John Kerry will speak to potential voters in Chicago. Kerry will then fly to Indianapolis. During the 1 hour flight Kerry will reinvent himself and introduce himself to the adoring throngs of voters there. From Indianapolis Kerry will fly to Des Moines, Iowa. During the flight Kerry will learn what the voters in Des Moines are looking for, reinvent himself and introduce the new John Kerry to Iowa...
