Democrats hopping mad over 'bunny suit'

The campaign of Sen. John Kerry yesterday accused NASA of leaking a widely circulated photo that shows the candidate wrapped from top to bottom in a baby blue "bunny suit," implying that it was a "dirty trick."
    One campaign official told The Washington Times last night: "All I can say is it was not an authorized release."
    But the National Aeronautics and Space Administration told Fox News that the Kerry team saw the photos before publication and passed on their release.
    A NASA spokesman told the top-rated cable network that the images were given to the Kerry campaign to review before several were posted on the Kennedy Space Center Web site.
    In no way were photographs "leaked," the spokesman said.
    But campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill said in an interview with Fox, "This was a leaked photo."
    She said the campaign never was told that the photographs, which are drawing ridicule and comparison with the Michael Dukakis "tank" photo on the Internet and talk radio, would be taken during a campaign stop at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Kerry people probably didn't care until they saw the pictures with the rabbit ears added. That's when they said, "Oh #$%# what did we do?"

This guy knows he's being photographed; he's obviously posing for a camera. They just didn't think it would look so ridiculous. When it did look ridiculous they scream that they were set up. Puh-leeeze!!

I'm not a hunter and even I howled when picturing sKerry hunting deer in such a manner.  When deer season opens, we'll probably have dems slithering through the woods on their stomachs instead of in stands to prove that what he said wasn't a lie.

Kennedy and 'peer competitor'!  You might expect that terminology with a church youth group paint ball outing, but not in the military.  Wonder if Karpinski adheres to that description of the enemy?  General blamed

I can't bring myself to kill woodsy creatures (I will only take a life, human or otherwise, when there is no other safe option), but some of my hunter friends hunt deer with 12 ga. slugs. Not a good idea, IMO.

Low-velocity round makes a mess of the meat and likely is cruel -- does not pass through and likely makes an internal mess that is not readily fatal...
