What was he thinking? Or was he thinking? Did John Kerry forget how that widely ridiculed photo opportunity in the Army tank deflated the presidential campaign of his mentor Michael Dukakis?
Apparently not. Sen. Kerry continues to face fallout from his widely ridiculed photo opportunity at Cape Canaveral.
He must have thought wearing a baby-blue anti-contamination suit would somehow make him appear tough and less elitist than usual. The New York Post, however, in the lead story "BOSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM," with the secondary headline "Spaceman Kerry's goofy photo flub," today noted he looked instead like the sperm Woody Allen played in "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex but Were Afraid to Ask."
"The GOP effort to pull a 'Dukakis' on Kerry is shifting into
high gear," the Associated Press reported today.
But Kerry seems eager to pull a Dukakis on himself.
Republican chairman Ed Gillespie said, "We just thought it was a great photo."
Look Who's 'Stupid'
Perhaps the senator had to decontaminate himself from the first night of the Democrat convention.
Over at the GOP war room, Minnesota's excellent new U.S. senator, Norm Coleman, noted the presence of a certain anti-American left-wing hatemonger at the Bush-bashing Beantown bash.
"We had Michael Moore in the presidential box, someone who said
Americans are stupid," Coleman pointed out. "Michael Moore sits with President Jimmy Carter in his box. Is that the foreign policy coming out of this convention? Does that demonstrate the party's commitment to make tough decisions?"
Well, at least they've managed so far to hide Dukakis. And his junior-size helmet.
Problem is Dorks like Kerry Dukacis and Gore and their handlers don't realize ya can't try and make yourself manly
You either is or you isn't and they isn't
Lemmiwinks!!!
Somebody better hurry and tell Willy Wonka that one of his Oompa Loompas is escaping!! ;-}
Why is it that the GOP is said to be "pulling a Dukakis" by pointing out Kerry's many faults, flip flops and stupid photo ops, but Foreign Hype 7-11 is "art"??
That is hilarious. ROFLMBO
That is hilarious. ROFLMBO
some captions just write themselves
Perfect placement...
Every time I see this photo, my mind eventually wanders to the same question with the same obvious answer:
"Would W have posed in such a photo op? Of course not!"
From "The Honeymooners", Ralph to Norton: "You space cadet!"
The point is that he is a fool and so are the liberals who endorse him
HAHAHAHAHA!
Can't stop laughing.
When I read the title of this thread, I wondered which of several photos that could be.
A man who throws out the starting pitch of a major league baseball game from the grass in front of the pitcher's mound doesn't have a lick of sense, and will continue to take photos that he doesn't have enough sense to regret taking.
Someone mentioned on Howie Carr's show that he looks like Mike TeaVee (one of the kids who gets the Wonka tour) just before he shrinks down to be in the TV set forever!
It's more than the outfit, it's that Kerry is on his hands and knees, looking like a dog or a beggar. It's a submissive posture. Leaders don't crawl on the ground like an animal.
Honeymooners Episode "TV or not TV"
Kerry wearing his Dr. Dentons.
But if he had, he wouldn't have looked so dorky.
