That was from the State of the Union speech a while back. Everybody was posting pics of people sleeping to make fun of Tuhrayza's speech, I thought I'd post the photo I have of Ted sleeping at the State of the Union speech. I wish someone had posted Bill and Hillary sleeping at President Reagan's funeral service.

That is so funny, I thought the exact same thing! I was hoping she would just fall asleep on the podium.

My mom thought she was in a lot of emotional pain. Hubby said, "No mom, she just hasn't had a drink in five minutes."

"Then go to bed! (Who peed in your macaroni tonight?)"

I was under the mistaken impression I could express my opinion on this website....

...not macaroni, m'dear (not that anyone contributed precious bodily fluids)

...organic, veg-fed, no mad cow filet mignon on the grill with grilled corn on the cob....

I'm glad Fox had "Live" on the screen. Looking at sleepy Sen. Kennedy, you'd never have known if he were alive or not.

They should have had that "Live" on the screen when showing pictures of Hil and Bill at the Reagan funeral. It looked like they were simulating corpses, a feat that Teddy seems to have mastered as well.

Seriously, how would your husband react if you insisted on keeping your previous husband/boyfriend's name?

To really imagine this, think of your last boyfriend before you got married. Now pretend that your name is Nutmeg boyfriend-name Zelig. Freaky, right?

Ron Reagan Jr. is giving his post speech interview.

Said he wrote his own speech.

Said the DNC shows a blooper tape of what not to do. (good idea)

very full of himself. It is a personal coup for him. Long term damage for the Democrats because it keeps Ronald Reagan in the lime light again.

If this keeps up, people will have to be reminded kerry is there somewhere.

"What was it that Vilsac's wife said that they are in spin mode about?"

I don't remember. I didn't take notes and am COMPLETEYLY brain dead from 6 hours of mind numbing bordom. I'll have to spend all day tomorrow going over transcripts. In fact, I've saved this thread.

The good Congressman took notes and can probably tell you.

I'm astonished, and I've been around a long time. Today I almost feel like conservatives have to have clandestine methods of communication - like religious people in Soviet Russia or Communist China had to have in the last century - in order to spread the word about GWBush and his administration.

Gretta is pandering to Dick the Dick Gephardt now on her show.

I've pretty much now cut my tv news viewing to Fox and Friends, Hannity and Colmes, and Dayside with Linda Vester. I have a feeling that before it's over with I'll only be watching Lifetime Movies and sports, and getting all my news from FR.

"I know what it's like to live under a dictator'

Finally a little something from her resume that the Dems will find valuable in their efforts to submit this country to global socialism.

Terry Kerry is the Dem's 21 rst.century MARTHA MITCHELL!

Boy, do you have that right! Can just see her locked up in a motel room calling a female reporter. But who? Mollie Ivans, maybe?

Eh, I don't think they put her up there tonight with any grand ambitions, but probably would have had the wife of the nominee speak, no matter who it was. Just another voice of women to be recognized, just another flavor, all are equal, just like the Oprah audience, where all voices are listened to, regardless of content, as long as they aren't too extreme. This is the milktoast convention, the message is 'see how normal and tame we are' and 'see how we are just like your ordinary neighbors', so a boring speech by her in a living room voice fits the bill. Not what she said, but how she calmly said it. Thus I doubt that they are going to push THK as 'the smartest woman in America' the rest of the way, but perhaps more like an above average smart wife with some strong opinions, 'just like most women'.

Plus some would label a sizable portion of the Dem's female demographics as "irrational, sexless, boring, and self-centered". Often quite sensitive about their irrationality, and thus any criticism of THK is a criticism of them. They may not relate to much of THK's real lifestyle and ideas, but if her appearance succeeded, they can relate to enough of what they saw. Another way to subtly try and set up for another Lazio effect.

Or maybe she parlayed Alexander Polier into a keynote speech opportunity...

In all seriousness, I think this Dem Convention has been a complete failure so far.

I doubt very seriously if John Edwards or John Kerry will do much better
