Michael Moore Argued In September 2002 That Bin Laden Was Innocent Until Proven Guilty. MSNBC's JOE SCARBOROUGH: "You brought a tape of yourself debating Michael Moore in September 2002 at the Telluride Film Festival. And here's what he said about Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda. Let's take a listen." (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) MICHAEL MOORE: "It seems as if he and his group were the ones who did this, then they should be tracked down, captured, and brought to justice." VANITY FAIR'S CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS: "Do you mind if I break in and say " MOORE: "Yes." HITCHENS: "Ask you, what is the 'if' doing in that last sentence?" MOORE: "What is the who?" HITCHENS: "What is the 'if' doing in that last sentence of yours?" MOORE: "Well, all people are innocent until proven guilty in this country." HITCHENS: "So you have no " MOORE: "Even the worst piece of scum." HITCHENS: "I feel I have to press you on that. You regard it as an open question, the responsibility of Osama bin Laden?" MOORE: "Until anyone is convicted of any crime, no matter how horrific the crime, they are innocent until proven guilty. And as Americans " HITCHENS: "No, that's all I asked you." MOORE: "Never leave that position." HITCHENS: "I'm sorry. So bin Laden's claims of responsibility strike you as the ravings of a clowns, say?" (MSNBC's "Scarborough Country," 6/30/04)
WHAT DO YOU THINK, SENATOR KERRY?
This Moore circus has to be transformed into an effective political add so the whole country knows how far to the left the Rat leaders are.
I believe Scarborough said last night that Kerry would be a President he could trust.
You're kidding right?
Seems like the POS moore doesn't extend the same towards the president. Mike is nothing but a bucket of puss, but he is J F'n K's heart and solu of America.
This is from National Review Online:
GOING-AROUND-THE-TONE POLICE [Tim Graham]
In the most unexpected event of the night, MSNBCs conservative host, Joe Scarborough, praised John Kerry: This is a guy that I, that I could trust as President. See more coverage of the convention coverage here.
"This is a guy that I, that I could trust as President.
I saw that part - he was replying to the speeches that he thought were well done. Specifically he was talking about some speech were the guy was talking about "how Kerry turned his swift boat around and ran it up on shore to protect (rescue?) one of his soldiers."
Joe might have taken it personally, but I was thinking it was more like "Wow, after a speech like that I could trust as president".
Now, with regards to the speech - I wonder what REALLY happened? And why should we trust him to lead based on one story in a speech, when most of the people he served with and his commanders consider him unfit for president?
So much for Scarborough. I never trusted anything on MSNBC.
I watch Joe Scarborough a lot. You guys are either jumping to conclusions, or misunderstanding his intent. He is no fan of John Kerry's.
Michael Moore is there to prove the "American people are stupid." His quote not mine. If Kerry wins it will be because of the massive "bait and switch" propaganda espoused at the convention.
The number of people who pay to see and then believe his propaganda alone prove that .
By Moore's own stupid wording, that means that he can't think Bush is "guilty" of all the fabricated crimes in his movie. After all, Bush hasn't had a trial.
