Yeah, the 2002 Congressional elections really established that Democratic mandate.
I must not be on the same planet as these folks..
Because of the media, are there many people who voted for Gore that now will vote for Bush? It doesent seem so to me. That means he has to win over new voters and Evangelicals, etc who didnt vote last time. Tough....
I hope so. Let the fools believe it.
I think we might have a case here of over confidence on the part of the librats.
It's still PresBush`s election to lose. The Bush-Cheney campaign is hanging its reelection hopes on their efforts in the closing 13 weeks of the general campaign. With something like $155 million left to spend, Bush-Cheney has designs on an all out blitz to get back in the lead. All things being somewhat equal at this point, the election is far from over.
They will lose. I bet Bush is 100% certain he is going to win. If you don't believe in yourself, you will fail.
Bruck's hype: Bush landslide.
My dear mom, an ardent democrat, won't vote for Bush but can't bring herself to vote for Kerry. He just doesn't inspire her. I advised her to vote for Nader.
A little Scripture is appropo:
"Therefore, let him who thinks he stands, take heed, lest he fall."
Of course in this case, we want them to fall, so let them keep thinking they've got it in the bag.
It wouldn't be the first time Bush was misunderestimated.
It's all spin. If they say it early and often then the masses will accept their message as truth. They are following Joseph Goebbels' strategy.
It was funny to hear McAwful's speech last night--raving about the leaps and bounds the Dem party has made technologically--leaving the party in the best shape it's ever been in! (He said the same thing in 2002.) I promised to deliver and I did, he went on to say. I thought his job was to deliver winning candidates.
Bob Mulholland also swore that Gray Davis was going to survive the recall vote. He is known by Hugh Hewitt as "the Yosemite Sam of California politics".
and when GWB wins big on Nov. 2nd, are they going to finally realize that with Clintoons around, the only message that gets out is how bad they are, and anyone with them must be bad, too....
I'm worried, but history has shown W usually saves a trump card or two when needed. He has laid pretty low while getting absolutely creamed so far this year. I have to believe he is going to open up a can soon.
it will be a wonderful day, when BUSH WINS. (again)

Everything being the same, you now have a state where a Jew is not on the ticket, the military vote will be counted and no one will say that Gore won Florida at 4:00 in the afternoon.
Taking that into consideration, I think the key state in this election is Ohio.
Ohio to Kerry will be what Tennessee was to Gore. Win the state you win the election.
