The famously off-the-cuff Heinz Kerry is scheduled to address the delegates tonight. At the Kennedy Center, her husband violated the cardinal rule of politics getting his picture taken in a ridiculous outfit.
Visiting the space shuttle Discovery, Kerry donned dust-free overalls that made him resemble the sperm cells in Woody Allen's "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid To Ask)."
Republican operatives issued a press release featuring the photo and its predecessor the famous shot of 1988 Democratic nominee Mike Dukakis wearing an ill-fitting tank helmet.
"It's the picture worth a thousand words," said a GOP strategist as he chortled over the photo of Kerry.
But Democrats were not concerned.
"The brilliant Republicans who put George Bush in a flight suit to strut around an aircraft carrier won't get very far giving advice to NASA about the kinds of coveralls to wear," said Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade.

John Kerry crawls through a hatch...The dumazz reporter didn't even know what "hatch" that was. Kerry was crawling out of the orbiter crew module.

My fervent wish is that when Bush gives his acceptance speech at the Republican convention, he walks out on the stage in that flight suit.

Bill Clinton: When we needed a doofus to send to the Convention and to lose in November, paving the way for Hilly, John Kerry said, "Send me. See, I'm a perfect doofus. I learned stupid photo-op tricks from the best--Michael Dukakis."

"Compare the Kerry pic with an actual pic from the Woody Allen film"Look at the two pictures and think of Woody's line:
"But I don't wanna go. What if it's a homosexual experience?"

...At the Kennedy Center, her husband violated the cardinal rule of politics getting his picture taken in a ridiculous outfit...What's so ridiculous about a clean-room suit??
These suits are worn by many workers all the way from space center techs to computer hard drive manufacturers.
Yeah, they're a b*tch to wear 8 hours a day and I spent many days wearing one at KSC. But I was damn proud to wear one and be a part of the space program.
I guess some people think that any suit other than a three-piece business suit is ridiculous. How elitist is that?

Do you get your picture taken everyday in a clean room suit climbing out of a white orifice?

What's so ridiculous about a clean-room suit?? Nothing unless it's being used for a photo op by a presidential candidate, who's crawling around on the ground.
It's hard to imagine this undignified doofus
as a 'leader" who will be able to protect this country from our enemies.

No, no... the REAL caption is:
John F. Kerry, democratic candidate for President of the United States (and Vietnam veteran), poses after having successfully completed the world's first manned colonoscopy. The patient, Senator Kennedy, is said to be doing fine...

Oh, please.
It isn't about clean room suits or pride in work. It is about a know-nothing who will gut the space program, among other programs, in order to have enough of our money to take all health care decisions aways from us and give them to the government under the guise of a benefit, among other things.
This was a photo-op designed to highlight Zelig's commitment to science and research, 2 things he is as knowledgeable about as how to pitch a baseball or the title of the rules arbiter in baseball, for that matter. Because it is mendacious, he deserves all the ridicule that can be printed, spoken and broadcast....and then some.
He looks like a grinning idiot. Were he capable of actually doing something productive in a clean room or anywhere else, you MIGHT have a point. This is dishonest. He is dishonest. The press is dishonest.
W at least flew jets and has worn flight suits while doing so.
You should be insulted that your profession is being hijacked to impress the punters with F'n's science credentials.

This is the outfit Kerry plans to wear when he goes in to clean out your wallet.
To: tscislaw
You make a good point for yourself.
Some, however, were a little confused when they saw Kerry wear it. At first I wasn't sure if the photo was fake, or if he was supposed to be a bunny or in a burka. It's just a Dukakis moment.

Uh...Senor Wade? President Bush was wearing that flight suit because HE'D JUST GOTTEN OUT OF THE COCKPIT OF AN EA-6B PROWLER, YOU THUNDERING MORON! It's kind of required to wear that rig...y'know, ejection seats, parachutes, G-suits, oxygen, all that sort of thing?
Oh never mind. Wade probably gets the vapors if he has to fly coach.
