KERRY SHOVES BACK (And Poses For Ridiculous Photo-Kerry's Dukakis Moment)
New York Post ^ | 7/27/04 | STEFAN C. FRIEDMAN

The famously off-the-cuff Heinz Kerry is scheduled to address the delegates tonight. At the Kennedy Center, her husband violated the cardinal rule of politics — getting his picture taken in a ridiculous outfit.

Visiting the space shuttle Discovery, Kerry donned dust-free overalls that made him resemble the sperm cells in Woody Allen's "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid To Ask)."

Republican operatives issued a press release featuring the photo and its predecessor — the famous shot of 1988 Democratic nominee Mike Dukakis wearing an ill-fitting tank helmet.

"It's the picture worth a thousand words," said a GOP strategist as he chortled over the photo of Kerry.

But Democrats were not concerned.

"The brilliant Republicans who put George Bush in a flight suit to strut around an aircraft carrier won't get very far giving advice to NASA about the kinds of coveralls to wear," said Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade.

"Would love to see Kerry's voting record for space exploration."

Kerry says he's for a strong space program, but is against the space exploration program.

I guess some people think that any suit other than a three-piece business suit is ridiculous. How elitist is that?

Thats just the point. An elitist like Kerry looks stupid every time he tries to be something he's not. That coupled with the football dropping pic, the yellow and orange bike with the matching helmet and clothes pic, the shotgun pic, and the snowboard pic, Kerry becomes pure fodder. The guy is a boob who couldnt look any more un-presidential if he tried.

Is this his "Dukakis moment?"

Mo1 absolutely nailed it:

"Kerry looks like a fool and they know it."

Actually, since Bush flew in on a jet, wasn't a flight suit mandatory?

That's my understanding. Not that the truth should ever get in the way of a cheap and feeble Dem smear.

No matter HOW they try to spin this, I guarantee the Dem media people want to find the highest roof and push off the person who came up with this stunt.

LOL .. Well they pushed Berger and Wilson over board .. I can't wait to see who's next

in his space suit, Kerry looks like a character in a Planned Parenthood sex education training film to show kids how much "fun" it is to use condoms........Kerry looks like he's wearing a green condom on his head......and loving it.

Bush is a REAL man. Kerry is a metrosexual girlie man making a fool of himself in this new NASA getup and grounding a pitch halfway from the mound.

And that sums up the campaign rather nicely..

Great side by side. "Like a caged hamster..." That writer was more correct than to what we already knew was true.

Brings back memories of those tank photos of Dukakis!

That's what I called him too...Doofus

Maybe we can name him "Doofus the Dem" and mock him in all forms of animal pictures. Someone has already done a rabbit. We can make him the Pillsbury Doughboy too. And a snowman, etc.

This should be fun!

"The brilliant Republicans who put George Bush in a flight suit to strut around an aircraft carrier won't get very far giving advice to NASA about the kinds of coveralls to wear," said Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade.

I didn't see any Republicans giving NASA advice about their coveralls. And who are the brilliant Democrats who thought this stunt was a good idea?
