KERRY SHOVES BACK (And Poses For Ridiculous Photo-Kerry's Dukakis Moment)

The famously off-the-cuff Heinz Kerry is scheduled to address the delegates tonight. At the Kennedy Center, her husband violated the cardinal rule of politics getting his picture taken in a ridiculous outfit.
Visiting the space shuttle Discovery, Kerry donned dust-free overalls that made him resemble the sperm cells in Woody Allen's "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (But Were Afraid To Ask)."
Republican operatives issued a press release featuring the photo and its predecessor the famous shot of 1988 Democratic nominee Mike Dukakis wearing an ill-fitting tank helmet.
"It's the picture worth a thousand words," said a GOP strategist as he chortled over the photo of Kerry.
But Democrats were not concerned.
"The brilliant Republicans who put George Bush in a flight suit to strut around an aircraft carrier won't get very far giving advice to NASA about the kinds of coveralls to wear," said Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade.

I saw dozens of politicians and celebrities come through and get the VIP tour. They ALL got their photos taken.
But they didn't use those pictures as the lead up to the Convention when they were running for President.
How did F'n vote on NASA appropriations? The Donks have been screaming blue murder that we cannot afford Mars exploration (along w/our own fiscal conservatives). How much of a victory lap did America get for landing 2 Rovers on Mars successfully? We got global sniping even after the Beagle went dead.
This is an orchestrated tour leading up to the *crescendo* of F'n's acceptance speech Thursday night.
It is our job to minimize it. Can you imagine the Donks if W tried this sort of photo op stunt? Look how they have tried to denigrate his flight suit pic, when he WAS a pilot and he looked wonderful and natural in the flight suit. Turn about is totally fair.
F'n looks totally idiotic no matter what he does. Appearances can win or lose elections. The Internet allows us to leverage such gaffes. I see no problem.

Uh...Senor Wade? President Bush was wearing that flight suit because HE'D JUST GOTTEN OUT OF THE COCKPIT OF AN EA-6B PROWLER, YOU THUNDERING MORON! It's kind of required to wear that rig...y'know, ejection seats, parachutes, G-suits, oxygen, all that sort of thing? Yeah, and if Dubya was strutting, it was because he's a FIGHTER PILOT and fighter pilots get to strut. It's the law. People who have their "wounds" treated with bactine and then ask for a Purple Heart do NOT get to strut.

tscislaw, check out the picture in #54. Kerry doesn't look like a dork there. The problem isn't the bunny suit, it's the dorky expression on his face.

"The brilliant Republicans who put George Bush in a flight suit to strut around an aircraft carrier won't get very far giving advice to NASA about the kinds of coveralls to wear," said Kerry campaign spokesman David Wade. The Kerry camp is in an impossible spot with that over-top ridiculous photo, but, sheesh! a learning-disabled fourth-grader could come up with a better quip than Wade's.

That quip doesn't even make sense.

I don't know if anyone here can do good stills from video. But the video I have seen on Fox News seems like it had a few golden moments that would make some great pictures.

What a childish statement.
BTW, This thread is one of the funniest I have seen in weeks. Priceless photoshop: Kerry as Tinky Winky, and compared to Gomer Pyle and Oompah Loompah.

Does anyone actually vote on such superficial imagery? We may never know whether this was Kerry's or some advisor's lame idea.
Would love to see Kerry's voting record for space exploration.

That's exactly what it reminded me of. The sperm in Woody Allen's Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex...But Were Afraid to Ask.
