USA Today editors have spiked a convention column they commissioned from conservative controversialist Ann Coulter, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.Coulter filed her first report from Boston Sunday night, only to be told hours later that editors found it "unusable" and "not funny."
"They should have read my work before they hired me!" Coulter, who has sold nearly a million copies of her various works and his written a syndicated column for five years, said from Boston.
MOORE ON THE FLOOR, BUT ANN IN THE CAN
Meanwhile Leftwing controversialist and Bush hater Michael Moore has free reign on the floor of the convention hall in Boston -- and has been hired to write for USA TODAY at the Republican convention in New York City!
Developing...
Ann is bright enough to know who she is dealing with, so I'll bet she gets paid and Today doesn't have exclusive. She'll sell the rejected articles elsewhere, get paid twice and we'll see her wit just the same.
There, count me as one who did not use the three words mentioned.
Someone said that Ms. Coulter is not a comedienne, well she sure is hell is funnier then one who claims to be (Whoopie)
I'm gonna go start an Anna K thread. Would you please post there?...
I just called USA Today and got transfered to "Media Relations". I asked if it was true that the editors had spiked an Ann Coulter column and yet were still taking submissions from Michael Moore. I also asked if anybody there was aware the Mr. Moore was a Marxist propagandist. The lady said she did not have that info but would have someone call me.
Wouldn't you be thrilled to be next to Ann Coulter???
CENSORSHIP!
CENSORSHIP!
(yeah, I know it's not "censorship" but the liberals don't!)
I find it reassuring that neither the mainstream media outlets like McPaper (USA Today) and the Democratic Party in general, are behaving EXACTLY as they have for the past decade or more.
so much for "vetting" speeches to "tone down the rhetoric".
This week has the potential to be even worse for the Democrats than last week was, and last week was bad no matter who you are supporting in the coming election.
It's not called McPaper for nuthin'....
When were they together? And when did they break up?
Just emailed USAToday (PRAVDAToday, DNCToday) and registered my complaint. Then, picked up my phone and gave Gannett a call, was transferred to a voicemail message at the desk of the 'letters to the editor' where I further registered a verbal complaint.
It's fun, and profitable. Everyone should do it.
HEY!! Drudge used my picture!!!
I e-mailed and I phoned. The woman on the phone would only take a name and register it as a complaint. When I suggested she get on-line and read what Michael Moore's movie is doing to troop morale in Iraq she said, "That's okay" and hung up on me.
That picture came from my video of her debating a lib prof in Rhode Island!!
Pretty cool, eh?
HEY! Check out whose pictures Drudge used for his story!!
I get it full well.
They paid conscripted a column with her to occupy her time and ensure she published nothing (since she was writing somethiung for them they knew they would not print).
That way they can keep outstanding crique of the Rats out of print while they whitewash the convention.
Classic scam by a really sleeze of a paper.
Hey USA Today--"Teresa Heize" it to you too.
LOL, something she said must have hit a little too close to home! ;-)
Are you sure?
