Democrats Make Al Jazeera Television Remove Signs

Democrats at the convention make Al Jazeera remove all of their signs from the Convention Center but they are still going to allow them to "report" according to MSNBC.

Can anyone explain why Al Jazeera was allowed to attend? My mouth dropped open when I heard about. Now the middle-easterners are going to get a full dose of Bush bashing around the clock. Does the Kerry team have one brain cell left between them?

I heard a member of the RNC on a radio talk show this week explaining that the parties have NO say on who/what gets credentialled. That's to keep them, the parties, from playing favorites in the media. I don't recall who exactly hands out the press invites. Hiding AJ's signage is pretty puerile, though.
