Went into a CompUSA in Columbia, MD today and, while shopping, noticed a movie trailer for Fahrenheit 911 running on several PCs and MACs...
I e-mailed, Should be fun!
"One could say that Osama bin Laden and these non-nation-state fighters with religious purpose are very similar to those kind of atypical revolutionaries that helped cast off the British crown. - Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio
One can only assume you posted this because you, yourself, believe it. Comment please.
you had better believe I am making a call first thing tomorrow and WILL NOT go into CompUSA again unless this is removed.
You know what I miss most about living in NC? Fry's.
Good, Do it!
What took you so long??
I just freeped them....big time!
There's plenty of non-controversial stuff they could use to show off the picture quality of their monitors - why should CompUSA's execs pick something that's guaranteed to piss off a large chunk of their customer base? Have they been living in a cave for the last few months and are unaware of the effect this movie has had on people?
To paraphrase Michael Jordan, Republicans buy computers too.
Idiots. Half their customers use to be Republicans.
??? Half of their prior customers were Rebublicans???
I am POSITIVE you will be pleased with your Dell machines. Also, you may be pleased to know that Dell donates substancially to the Republican party.
Go figure, a self-made multi-billionare; actually believes that the money he earns, is his ....
You are in a great position to make known to the company's management that it is in the cross-hairs of a boycott-in-the-making.
There needs to be a company policy, very clearly stated backed by enforcement, that prevents democrap symps from putting Moore's stuff out for public viewing. The movie is rated R for one thing, and if it were possible, 'D' for dishonest.
It's time we take a stand. Hitting where it hurts, namely the pocket book, speaks volumes. Let's not forget what Slimfast did to Whoppi's ads several weeks ago. Actions SPEAK!!!!!!!!!!
Idiots. Half their customers use to be Republicans.

??? Half of their prior customers ARE Republicans.??
They're kind of a joke around here (San Jose). Famously clueless sales-hacks roam the aisles.
Micro-Center has been doing me justice lately.
Thanks for stepping up to the plate!! If this is true, then someone at CompUSA needs to find other employment. If this is false, your company needs people like you to straighten the facts out. CompUSA is in search of profits, not setting political agendas. To alienate ANY customer on a topic unrelated to technology is 'stupid'.
One or all of the above...
Yes of course, Tax Government, I believe it, that's why I posted it.
Yes, of course, since I think a "FReep" is a complete waste of time, and counter-productive, I'm against the war.
Nice logic.
Do you think that came from the executive level? I doubt they spend time on decisions that even the lowest paid store employee could make.
Even if they did, so what? Isn't it their discretion?
If you don't like it, you can either a) not patronize them, or b) buy the chain, and change the trailers they play or c)organize a silly protest, and look like a petty fool.
As for me, I couldn't care less what you did.

...who, astonishingly, don't sell on the internet.
The rough on-line equivalent of Fry's is:
http://www.newegg.com/
When they don't have something, I use:
http://www.cdw.com
http://www.tcwo.com
http://www.svc.com
For dirt-cheap PCs, it's hard to beat the mail-order-only
