Does Air Force One have nameless, anonymous, or mysterious Mid Easterners on board while cruising at 30,000 feet? Can you imagine the utter shock and concern of the President, his family and the Secret Service if a number of suspicious, mysterious Mid Easterners started to board Air Force One?
We all know this would never happen as the Secret Service and Homeland Security would never allow this to occur, as the safety and security of the President and his family are a priority and paramount.
My point is, why are the rest of the flying public subjected to this on a daily basis? We have all heard the endless warnings, frightening stories, and nightmare scenarios. We have even been told by the Director of Homeland Security, "We will be hit and hit hard". Yet strange, mysterious Mid Easterners, that have only been in our country a day or two, are on board our flights as I write this.
Imagine boarding a flight with you wife and kids and seeing multiple, suspicious Mid Easterners boarding the aircraft. Imagine your thoughts and concern on a long flight. In my opinion, this is completely unacceptable.
Imagine, if it happens again, and four or five or more flights are brought down killing many hundreds or thousands?
Then what? Will our government continue to carry on business as usual? At what point will the safety of the rest of Americans be a priority and a paramount concern?
Bingo. And the FReepers making fun of her now [and the security lapses] will look like real clowns if the next 9-11 comes by air transport. Keep right on laughing...and flame away.

Well that certainly puts you in a different light then. Knowing how serious this issue is, you have chosen to slam someone anyway for trying to reveal how the general public is subjected to a preposterous standard.
In your mind it seem reasonable to trash the poster, yet it doesn't seem reasonable to trash a policy that sees 14 Syrian nationals with expired Visas traveling on a flight, and creating a situation that warranted the FBI and INS waiting for them when they disembarked the plane.

I agree with you. I'm beginning to think that the american public is going to have to just stand up and say that we aren't going to take this. Change the racial profiling laws; make air travel safer or we revolt. Stage mass demonstrations etc. The 14 men on flight 327 were behaving in a terroristic manner; they knew they were scaring those people. They got by with it. They had expired visas and that wasn't noticed!!!! This is UNACCEPTABLE, people! Wake up, america!

Something happened that did spark the FBI's involvement. Attempting to pass that off as 'nothing happened' is rediculous.
But dont forget that there are asian and black muslims than Middle Easterners. Dont forget that some Whites are also muslim (probably more radical than someone who grew up on it). Can you ever be certain you have avoided the terrorists? And oh by the way I can guarantee you wouldnt get on Air Force One either.

I'm not going to discuss security and comment on what measures have been taken on an open forum. The feds have it under control as far as I see. See the link in #14. There is nothing to all this other than fear mongering.

I think that good people from the Middle East should go out of their way in public NOT to freak people out. 9/11 was a BIG DEAL. Many people died. We have a right to be very jittery when we see things that unfortunately the unaware, unprejudiced passengers on the 4 doomed flights could not.
