That was my first thought. They declined, for better or worse. Of course it's easier to make a blanket "we were stiffed" statement rather than finding out the facts first.

Its like the elephant is NOT in the middle of the room. Fox smokes them all on ratings. I just love hearing their self-absolving piety over how they cover their idea of what they the news is. peace....D

Judy,Peter,Dan,Tom are SO smug and superior! They "honestly" can't see any problems with the way their networks report and filter news.

Old media whores, clueless, losing market share, following the UN into irrelevancy.

Sorry Del, but if you think this presentation didn't stiff the audience, you should rethink your opinion. Whether FoxNews declined or not, these talking heads haven't clue one.

Newsreaders discussing their jobs. Put a cocktail in each of their hands, some soft 'musak', and a recording of 'background conversations' and you'd have a hoity-toity Manhattan penthouse or Georgetown party.

Heard Jim Lehrer say. "I may be an optimist but with all these new sources of information it may bring young viewers back to the Nightly News shows."

ROTFLOL!

If so, they've got class. I wouldn't want to be associated with the party of skank either.

Did anyone else notice Al Franken in the audience? I believe this is the same school that gave him an office to write his book while at Harvard.

Meanwhile at FOX they are showing tapes of non-violent war protesters beating on anti-aborthion activists. Sweet

I would love to see Bernard Goldberg up there asking questions. I tried watching this tripe, but had to turn away.

Activists that DID NOT WANT Fox to film their so-called non-violent DEMONstration. Says a great deal about the supposedly 'Pro-Choice,' 'Free-Speech' crowd. Remember, Stalin used violence and intimidation. Check out ProtestWarrior.com. There is plenty eye opening video of what these people consider open, honest debate and how they deal with people that offer reasoned arguments to their marxist dogma.

peace...D

Won't argue that. But it WAS a chance for Fox to show differntiation. Did they lack the fortitude to do that?

And remember, the poster indicated the panel was sans Fox because Fox was left out.

Seems, rightly or wrongly, the left themselves out.

Actually, it was untrue that C-Span invited Fox and they declined. The talking-heads present were invited by Harvard University. No mention was made at the end of the show if Fox was invited or not. I'm not convinced they were. Perhaps someone else heard that they were, but not mentioning that Harvard set up the program makes me suspect that report.
