The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

BOSTON (AP) — After four days of relative calm, protests turned ugly outside the site of the Democratic National Convention as demonstrators burned a two-faced effigy depicting President Bush on one side and Sen. John Kerry on the other.

My ability to employ proper spelling has gone away today.

Nothing at all but the scroll.

Get ready for "there is no reason to expect terrorism".

Suspect, rather. Not just spelling, but proper verbage.

Living in British Columbia I try to keep an eye on things. News is very slim here regarding terrorism. I live in a very small community in the Okanagan Valley. Hell, I don't even know what a ME looks like. Lots of people from India though.

Not in my community, but in the bigger cities up the highway. I've been meaning to check my phonebook to see if we even have a mosque in the bigger cities up the road. I don't worry about my location whatsoever. I do worry about all of you however. Just because I am not American doesn't mean I don't care. And just because my country isn't smart enough to vote Conservative, doesn't mean we are all stupid.

"Two small explosions were heard a few blocks from the arena. A bomb squad had arrived in the area a few minutes earlier and told bystanders to move away. The source of the explosions was not immediately clear, but police were seen taking away debris in plastic bags, including one with wires in it."

Holy anarchy, Batman.

Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool, you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.

"Wasn't there something about Fort Knox being a target recently? And hasn't there been concern about Fort Bragg too?"(Domestic Church)

Domestic Church,
Yes, Fort Knox and gold were mentioned recently by AQ and was also misspelled. Fort Bragg was penetrated by AQ for a few years in the late 80's/early 90's. Here's a quick search link I came up with at google to the Fort Bragg story:

Not much on the local news. I cancel the newspaper during the summers. Bad enough I use it in my classroom, I refuse to read the commie rag on my days off! Still, in all, I gather there has been no threat identified and the rhetoric has been: Nothing to see here, move along....
