I searched FR, didn't see this posted. I can't believe that the EU will last more than a few years, with cultural divisions so thoroughly delineated.

Any reason the homosexuals were not sentenced to jail for offending the Swedish pastor?

Coming to a church near you - if these "hate crime" and "hate speech" laws are allowed to be passed.....

Europe is headed back to the dark ages. We shouldn't flatter ourselves much, since we're only about a decade behind them, if that much.

Typical socialist/liberal idiocy.

Just because someone condemns destructive, sinful behaviour does NOT mean that it is hateful.

Suppose a child is caught smoking dope. Does telling the child that it is destructive, sinful behaviour mean that you hate the child?

Idiotic leftists not only ruin society, the trash the language. One American oaf went so far as to debate the meaning of is.

"In Europe people are starting to be jailed for saying what they think," Palko said.

But on the way back to the dark ages, they have to pass through the Third Reich again.

And when they reach the dark ages, there will be a mosque on every corner.

What is needed is men who will stand up and call sin by it's right name. Some are making God's word against the law, so we can see where this world his headed. Soon we will be pleading for Jesus to come. This world is going to be so wicked like it was in the days of Noan, when God sent a flood, for the people were not worthy to live.

Liberalism as a religion finds it necessary to silence any opposing beliefs.

This of course bears out the Biblical predictions that in the end times evil men would wax worse and worse, and would become haters of good.

I am quite sure a few months in jail for doing good beats an eternity in Hell.

Shades of the future!

Religious freedom could never be used as a reason to offend people.

Offending, the highest crime of the land.

Sounds like St. Paul, who was jailed so many times he wore it as a badge of honor.

Homosexual Agenda Ping - A lot here. The incarceration of the Swedish pastor for criticizing homosexual behavior is creating discussion and reaction in other countries. Here's what's happening in Slovakia.

Some Swedish homosexual spokespeople says:

"According to ENI, Soren Andersson from the Swedish Federation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights, said that religious freedom could never be used as a reason to offend people."

A gem, right? What about homosexual activists offending religious (or non-religious) people? That's ok. In fact, in this twisted world view, it's righteous activity.

Here's another telling statement by someone from the dark side:

"...the Church that is an institution that should spread reconciliation and good coexistence among people..."

So that's what religion is for? I thought that's what mediation was for. I thought religion's purpose is to reconcile individual humans with God.

This is very, very bad.

Let me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

"Swedish pastor sentenced to jail for offending homosexuals"

Meanwhile back on the old USA ranch, teachers are giving their students rainbow flavored condom tasting tests and on the clock librarians are trolling gossip boards and chat room while the library shelves are being stacked with kiddie cartoon porn and another husband pretending to be an college undergrad murders his pregnant wife because he couldn't live up to his expectations.

News again at 7am

What a world, what a world

What is needed is men who will stand up and ... demand to know why minority of people, unelected, unrepresentative and unimpeachable, and comprising less than 4% of the population, can dictate the behavior of the other 96%. And have their diktats enforced by the might of the central government.

"The tyranny of the minority," said Edmund Burke, "if the worst tyranny of them all."

Sometimes I think we're all going to Hell in a handbasket, and then I realize it's just the idiots of the world-unfortunately, there are a lot of them and they are hell bent on dragging us down with them.
