I'm so glad Barney is going to get in a time on the ranch this week. LOL

The Bush twins did an on-line Q & A chat today. Thought you might like to read young Barbara's thoughts about their stop in Marquette, MI on the 13th.....

Kari Krueger from College Station TX wrote: Thanks so much for sharing your time with us. What an amazing experience this must be for each of you! What has been the most awe-inspiring experience you have had thus far during the campaign?

Barbara and Jenna Bush answered: Hi, Kari, this is Barbara. The campaign trail has been so much fun -- we have had a blast hanging out with our Dad and meeting tons of people across the US. The entire experience has been awe-inspiring; especially since this is the first time we have had a chance to contribute most of our time. I went to my first rally with my Dad two weeks ago in Michigan and was completely floored by the event. I had never witnessed so many people so excited to get my Dad reelected. As I sat on stage waiting for my Dad to deliver his remarks, I was so overcome by the unbelievable excitement in the room, watching so many people yell and chant for my father, I could not help but get tears in my eyes. It was amazing to meet so many people that respect and love my dad almost as much as I do!

Ahhhhh, so sweet. More of the chat is HERE

Unfortunately, on tonight's news I heard Sharpton say that his message would have resonated more if he (GWB) were not the messenger.

Are you kidding? I'm watching the replay now and the President was very gracious to Sharpton, as he was to all the attendess that he pointed out specifically. Why can't people just be gracious in return? Why did Sharpton have to say something negative after sitting and smiling in the man's face?

My week? I don't remember. Is it over yet? I'm getting rather bored sitting at home, doing nothing. I'm ready to go back to school.

Thank you for posting this. I remember some of the pics from that rally and she really did look very moved at the affection the crowd had for her Dad.

Your welcome. I remember wondering at the time what she thought of it all. Guess she was as "pumped" as the rest of us!

Have you started putting things on E-bay? It's fun and interesting.

If all else fails, come to my house--there are dogs to walk, a guinea pig cage to clean, vacuuming ALWAYS needs to be done . . .

:-)

This morning I saw the USS Reagan come through the harbor
and home port here. A lot of activity and huge crowds
all over. Nancy Reagan seemed in good spirits.

Does anyone know if Laura and the girls will be joining him? Laura was on vacation with her girlfriends this week, but I don't know for how long.

I heard Sharpton say that his message would have resonated more if he (GWB) were not the messenger.

%%%%%

What an idiotic statement. The speech WAS President Bush. Sharpton, Jesse, Sr, and some others in that room must have had their eyes opened by his ability to get a rapport with today's audience.

Thanks for the great link! They certainly seem to be fine young ladies. I bet George and Laura will read it and be proud.
