Just saw your post.

Did you get to the rally in Marquette?

Yes sir! You can read a little account I wrote up about it the morning after - POST 226 - It was very exciting!

I found it interesting that you spent all that time in the eastern U.P., working on infrastructure. Did you get to the "Copper Country" on your vacation? That is my stomping ground.

The sooner people ignore people like Jesse and Al, the better off the black community will be

True, but the dem candidate for senator from Illinois, Barek Obama, is being groomed for great things.

He is even going to give a speech at the DNC convention. I saw him being interviewed on FNC yesterday, and he said

"You get into politics because it's a mission.
You get into politics because there's something in you - a religious faith, a sense of connection to other people..." --- direct quote by Barek Obama, 23 July 2004

This is the first time I have seen a lib actually verbalize how he feels about his political position - the position of the left.

One of the reasons why the left is so virulent against "religion" in 'government" is because God-based religions are in opposition to their religion - liberal/progressive/communism.

I found your account of the rally in Marquette. Thanks a lot . What an exciting experience for you. You can see from your photos the enthusiasm of the crowd. You were up quite close. And you stood in line for so long a time to get in; that's real dedication. If there were 11,000 people there it means many of them must have traveled from surrounding area, a long way. Looks like Bush will win in the UP.

Looks like Bush will win in the UP.

Bush beat Gore (overall) in the U.P. in 2000, Bush 50.61%, Gore 45.95%. Only 3 counties of 15, including Marquette (the largest), went Gore's way. Since MI is looking to be a tight race, this visit up north was a wise move, I think.

Waaaaaaaaaaah! I didn't get my ping.

In fact, I was wondering if you did a Dose - and had to go to the homepage, and do the "latest Dose" button, to find this.

Maybe the work that was being done on the site lost my ping?

Am I the only one who had this problem?
