A BAND OF 14 ILLEGAL ALIEN SYRIANS?!
By Michelle Malkin · July 23, 2004 01:47 AM
WNBC investigative reporter Scott Weinberger reported on Joe Scarborough's MSNBC show tonight that the 14 Syrians on Northwest Flight 327 ALL had expired visas. He said that law enforcement officials xeroxed the men's paperwork without looking at the dates. The visas had expired nearly a month earlier, according to Weinberger.
This is a huge problem. The system is only as good as its weakest link and it appears PEOPLE are one of the weak links. IF IT IS TRUE that these law enforcement folks let these guys slip through with expired VISAs simply because they didn't pay attention to the dates--EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM SHOULD BE FIRED. This isn't the first time I have heard of this kind of slacker attitude at the front line and letting potential terrorists get through when they could have been caught.
If these guys are touring the country performing, shouldn't someone, somewhere be saying where the performances are? I mean, "yeah, I went to their concert last night....they are legit". I've heard nothing of the sort.
For what it's worth, on another thread it was reported that these guys were playing a "Middle-eastern Night" at the Seycuan Resort & Casino outside of San Diego.
Hunt them down and saw their heads off.
The best way to end war and ensure peace is to kill the enemy.
Anybody so incompetent as to not check the date of the visas on 14 Syrians must be fired immediately.

Oh yeah? What do they call themselves? Abdullah and the Qaueda-tones?
Look out for the "Syrian Invasion."
Microchip them. It works with dogs.
Precisely! Why the heck are any Syrians allowed to just fly to Vegas.
Were Japanese musicians doing gigs in the US in 1943.
I didn't object or complain, but when I read that 14 illegal aliens from Syria were able to pass through a check point and not even have their instrument cases scanned, I'm speechless. We haven't learned a thing. Polls say that most Americans believe another terrorist incident is inevitable, but next one isn't even going to be difficult for them. Sorta like crossing the border from Mexico into a border state. Easy.
I'm not for giving in to paranoia, but I sure as hell am in favor of enforcing our laws. Those laws were passed for a reason. Must we have yet another reminder of why they were passed in the first place? Apparently so.
So what's the beef? According to the libs, all the illegal aliens are here looking for working carrying out trash, cleaning toilets or picking lettuce. Leave 'em alone.
Here they are -

"If this is true, this will get quite ugly....."
Huh? This is the bureaucracy we're talking about here. Not some penny annie political office. Like I said before, US customs and immigration is rife with out of shape, clock punching lifers. I'd take the tenacity of a Canadian Customs official shaking down a long hair trying to get into Vancouver over our fat f's any day. You see those Canadian guys. They look to be in shape and wearing vests and side arms. Our guys look like High School Bus Drivers.
Typical.
Wasn't it reported each came in from a different route? If so, then could they have just arrived in the country and were let in on outdated visas as well? This is getting worse every day.
CNN reported last night that nearly half a MILLION illegal aliens have been picked up in the past month (or this summer, but whatever it was a short timeframe). HALF A MILLION!!! And that's just the ones they've caught.
Oops, meant to say those were crossing the Mexican border. Who knows what's coming in through Canada.
Political correctness and profiling issues will only be re-addressed by the gubmint after an event killing 100,000 or more....And then, if true, the example of sloppiness by law enforcent in this thread will lead to INSTANT terminations-W/O PENSIONS.
I thought the report had them playing in Las Vegas...?
