The visas had expired nearly a month earlier, according to Weinberger

Anybody so incompetent as to not check the date of the visas on 14 Syrians must be fired immediately.

Anybody so incompetent...

This refers to almost everyone in government employ. You see, no meaningful measures have or ever will be installed and enforced. It is all smoke and mirrors to make the sheeple feel safe. When someone says "Don't trade your freedoms for security, for you will get neither", you aught to pay close attention.

But all immigrants have expired visas before their status changes. My fiancee came in on a K-1 visa. We married and started to move mountains of further paperwork (much of the same stuff as the visa application process). Her visa long ago expired and all we have to show is a case number on a letter but the change of status may take many more months because the U.S. bureacracy moves slower than Honduran bureaucracies. My wife is....Christian, Ukranian, blue-eyed, former Lenin Pioneer, and naturally she must get dragged through ever more forms and med exams while we accept almost one million ILLEGAL aliens per year.
