When I heard about Rush and Marta breaking up, the very first thought that went through my mind was "at least they don't have any kids." Because it's sad to me when people put their own desires before their responsibility to their families.

How could they NOT suffer when their parents are divorced and their dad is off running races and not near them? Common sense, Glenn. I hope he does pay a lot of attention to them because they, like every other child, needs a father's guidance, direction, discipline and lots of love.
I guess the children of all the American servicemen in all the world are in serious jeopardy of growing up really screwed up, then.

It's a well-known fact that Lance banked his sperm before he started chemo, and that his children have all been conceived in-vitro. Well, well-known to those of us who have at least followed his story over the years.
Divorce: They announced their separation from one another on February 24, 2003. After a brief reconciliation in June, 2003, the couple filed for divorce in September, 2003.
Children: Before he began chemotherapy for testicular cancer, Lance banked sperm. His children were conceived with that banked sperm. Luke (b. 10/12/1999), Isabelle Rose (b. 11/20/2003), and Grace Elisabeth (b. 11/20/2003).
He has stated that he will not compete at the 2004 Athens Olympics because he wants to spend the summer with his children in the United States.
What agenda? I think YOU have an agenda. Yes, even kids of servicemen and women can get screwed up if parents are away too long and especially if they aren't in touch with them much. I'm concerned about today's young people. You should be too. It's been proven over and over again that young people suffer when they don't have fathers around to guide them. Nuff said.

Well, they had twins, didn't they? So it's like they had two kids in 4.5 years, which is no big wup at all. My buddy at work has a second on the way faster than that. And anyway, was Lance opposed to it all? It was his sperm. Did he have no say?
