I had heard that the fleet had been grounded, but I bow to your greater knowledge. And I also tend to agree with the missile theory you posted. The eye witness reports, the damage to the aircraft, as well as the actions of the investigators in restricting information tend to support that theory and a cover up. BTW, was the recovered wreckage of Flt. 800 destroyed? If so, was it done in a timely manner or was it rushed?

I have a lot of Navy Diver freinds, from Little Creek Amphib Base that helped in the recovery.
they were told to not talk about what they find.
Some did, I can tell you what they found was evidence to prove that a missle did to the deed.
There is moree evidence that a missle caused the explosion of the fuel cells than a small arc from a wire bundle. By the way
How do you get Diesel to burn? You have to compress it to a high pressure first, the compression alone will cause a larger vapor mixture to combust, but an exciter plug...a large spark plug that burns really hot and has to maintain the arc long enough to get the engine started.
A small wire arcing could not cause the little vapors in a fuel cell to explode. Note that there aren't any "hot" wires in a fuel cell. except the probe transmitters to the gauges.

Can we bump all day.......this reminder that Gore had recommended the cockpit doors be hardened, only to back down in return for substantial campaign donations?
We wonder what Kristen Breitweisser's band of wicked widows would have to say about this fact.

Wow, this explanation makes way too much sense. What if what was 'lost' by Berger were the documents with margin notations regarding TWA 800?

I absolutely agree with your analysis. I don't think it is related to those "incidents" because there have already been hints *made by the dems in power then* that they were terror related.
No, this is something MUCH bigger, I think.
Care to share your theories?

The only thing I could see incriminating is that any of our nave vessels that were in the area are responcible for the accident and that terrorists, which still do not claim responcibility for it, were a scapegoat.

You're right. After the Flt. 800 investigation, it wasn't the 747 that was grounded, but rather 179 older 737s that used the same wiring design as used on older 747s. Newer aircraft don't use that design.

If it was terrorism, then it does seem odd that no terrorist group has ever claimed responsibility for it. Curiouser and curiouser.
What would be the possible reasons for an American naval vessel to take a commercial airliner down? If that were true, could it be plausible that it was a horrible accident?

OUr Navy was in the area doing live training. If an Aircraft was dragging a target or if a Drone was in the area, all it would take is for a larger infrared signature to confuse an already launched AIM 9, or Stinger.
Just think of the ramifications if the word got out that the Navy screwed up!

I don't want to re-hash all the missle launch scenarios: even Peter Lance ("1000 Years for Revenge") who accepts the notion that a BOMB might have gone off, dismisses the missile theory.
I agree on patterns . . . except, the very nature of accidents is that they defy patterns. Yes, usually what happens in one happens in all, but not always. Alan Pinkerton died of gangrene after biting his tongue: a Fla. delivery man was crushed under a rack of "Nutty Buddies." In the battle for Baghdad, an Abrams tank had a one-in-a-million shot hit its rear fuel cell at just the perfect angle to start an uncontrollable fire. There are things you just cannot explain, and without SUBSTANTIAL evidence of a bomb or missile, it really is at best a conspiracy theory of the worst type, because it not only requires you (not you personally) to believe that the Clinton administration officials all lied (not too hard) but that dozens, even hundreds, of trained federal employees (some of whom could make a FORTUNE by "outing" the "real story"), including good people like Jim Kallstrom, have come under horrible accusations and slander because they didn't come to the "right" conclusion as far as some Freepers are concerned.
It starts to reach a critical mass that defies belief, and, as I say, it then impugns Bush, Cheney, Rice, and every other Republican who had any ability to "find out the truth." So, like I say, I'm awaiting real evidence, not just the logic that it doesn't "seem right."

Sounds to me that it's about time that W. gets Condi to go to the Archives and start doing a bit of data-mining herself, and see what else there might be in the files around the same timeframe.

You are correct. I wouldn't want to harp on "conspiracy theories", however, if you were to look at the investigation yourself. You would see what the Government doesn't want you to see. Eye witness accounts that said they saw a trail of light then an explosion, and these accounst were seperate.
These witnesses were dismissed. Plus, if a bomb did it, then you would see even disbursment of debris.
You can see that the debris from the object in question, remained on the trajectory even after impact, note that the divers were told to find debris away from the actual main debris sites (Navy Divers, not local salvage crews).

I've posted this top a few other threads. Please ignore if you've seen it before ...
I called our local Clear Channel station the night after this story broke and spoke for about 10 minutes describing the procedures used to handle classified information. The following is a basic description of what I said ...
1) A person who wishes to review classified information at a given facility must have his/her clearance on file with the security office that has legal custody of the information.
2) Once they arrive to the facility, they must show their credentials to identify themselves, sign into the facility - maybe issued a badge indicating their clearance and access and escorted to the room where the material will be reviewed.
3) A quick sidebar on program access and document marking. The term "Access" refers to the concept of "Need to Know". The fact you have a clearance that matches the level required to have access to the material does not establish your "need to know". It must be determined by someone like a program manager or security personnel that your job function requires access to certain information. If you are granted access, you may be required to go through another level of investigation. Some levels of access (at least the ones I was exposed to) are known as "Special Need to Know" or SNTK (pronounced Snick) and "Special Access Required" or SAR. Programs with these designations require special prominent markings on each page of a classified document along with the classification level. Believe it or not, after all the markings (top and bottom) there usually is enough room for the content of the page.
4) I should also mention that each paragraph of the document starts with a designation indicating the classification level of that paragraph. This would look like (U), (C), (S), (S/SAR), (S/SNTK), (TS) or (TS/SAR). Every page is marked top and bottom based upon the highest level of any paragraph on that page. ie. it's possible to have an unclassified page in a top secret document. And as you might think, the overall classification of the document is classified at the highest level of any single page.
5) This next point is especially important in light of the current investigation. Every page is marked "Page x of y Pages". For example page 13 of a 32 page document would be clearly marked in the banner section of the page "Page 13 of 32 Pages". This is done for obvious reasons - if any page is missing, it can be accounted for. The page count is also part of the document's registration in the security catalog.
6) Once in the room, the container (probably a safe i.e. a very heavy duty file cabinet with heavy combination locks with different combinations on each drawer) is opened. This process should be logged by security personnel.
7) The documents are taken from the container. All classified documents are stamped (each page) with items such as a control number, date of creation, level of clearance (top and bottom), program name indicating what access is required and eventual dispensation (i.e. when the material is designated to destruction if applicable).
8) If the documents are classified "top secret", each document has a log on the cover sheet. EACH time a person has access to this information, they must sign and date it.
9) The material is not to be removed (ie stuffed in underwear, socks ... etc) without approval of security personnel. If this takes place, the transfer is documented on both ends of the transaction. If the material is top secret or above, it requires at least two cleared people as an escort.
10) If you travel overnight, the material is not to be kept in your hotel/motel room but instead must be taken to an approved facility. Arrangements are usually made in advance. Security people do not like suprise visits. They like to make them but not receive them.
11) No photocopies are to be made or notes copied without the proper security personnel logging this activity and making appropri

If they can send Berger to jail which they can for legitmate criminal crimes; than they can surely do the same for Bill and Hillary Clinton.

You're absolutely right about Daschle and his wife being involved in that. Those stringent measures "might" have prevented 9/11 or at the very least made it more difficult to accomplish.
I am also waiting to hear about the "suicidal" Egyptian pilot with the 50 Egyptian generals on board that took a nosedive into the Atlantic right after takeoff from New York. Hope to live long enough on that one.
