Archives Employees Suspicious of Berger... devised a coding system and marked the documents they knew Berger was interested in canvassing, and watched him carefully... employees determined that that draft and all four or five other versions of the millennium memo had disappeared from the files after Berger viewed them, WASH POST set to report, say sources... Developing...
Most innocent possible explanation: Hes had beenthe boss, and lowly employs were afraid to confront him. They did, however, report it to their supervisor, who politely asked Berger to return the stuff.
When he returned stuff they didn't even know he had, they started keeping track. He coulda got away with it if he hadn't been desperate to get some particular item.
Who gives a crap about what the media think? Indict that fat bastard!!!
Sandy Berger put his reputation and career on the line for more than just the 9/11 Commission. He pilfered these documents for a reason, and "We the People" have a right to know
And there are no pictures? Haven't these people ever heard of cameras? That makes no sense if they were that alert, I think it's a feint.
How the hell could Berger be working on the Kerry Campaign, advising Kerry, and not tell Kerry about the ongoing investigation? I dont believe it.
Why did these guys not detain Berger?
I can't get excited yet. I keep remembering so many of the Clintonistas who should have been put away - but walked.
Sure, some of them committed suicide, crashed in planes, were shot in their cars...but Berger knows to keep his mouth shut. There are some very powerful people and media companies who will try to kill this story.
I don't think we can depend on the Republican leaders in Congress to ask for a Special Prosecutor or a "Commission" to investigate any further.
We are going to hear this "dog ate my homework" story over and over. "Inadvertent" will become the most overused word in our vocabulary.
If Letterman and Leno pick it up and run with it, perhaps we can keep it alive for awhile.
The FBI is still investigation,Danny Hassert wants committee hearings,so this is far from over.
Just look at Monicagate. It's STILL not over.
No one connected to the Clintons will ever tell the truth. I don't care how many "deals" they make with anyone. They all lie! Anyone who trusts them is a fool.
If the DemoScum get to spin this away in the face of all the obvious evidence of deliberation, there is no way they can ever be held accountable for anything. We'd better win this one or just give it up.
So, if they marked the documents that Berger stuffed down his shorts, were the documents he returned marked? or could he have pulled a switch?
This scandal is BIGGER than the Democratic Convention. We already know Senator Kerry's choice for his VP candidate, so there is no remaining drama left for the convention.
Faced with boring speaches from Senator Kerry or the exciting arena of Watergate-level political intrigue, it's a safe bet that this scandal will get more coverage than the Boston Convention.
7 Legislative Days Left Until The AWB Expires
I am reminded of Algore's Norwood-Dingle.
Then he went into making funny sounds. I am waiting on the funny sounds to start emanating from the Dems on this one too. Listen carefully to Kerry.
I'd be very surprised to find cameras in an area where people were reading classified documents.
How could Nixon not know about The Plumbers ?
Why is McAuliffe squealing like a pig ?
The goal now is to keep any Democrat traitors in the DOJ from impeding an investigation and prosecution.
Thanks for the ping.
This would confirm what was hinted at early on.
Time for the Kerry and Clinton camps to start hurling insults and innuendo about the Archive employees.
We'll never see them. If they are video recordings of classified documents, they are classified as well.
Obviously too many Clintonites left in government.
At least it wasn't a thong... or at least I reeeeaaaallly hope it wasn't! (multiple gagging sounds)
