In September Representatives will be voting on the Federal Marriage Amendment. As you know, liberal Senators filibustered the FMA and did not allow a vote in the Senate. But our chances of winning in the House are extremely promising.
Does your Representative support homosexual marriage?
This battle isn't just about homosexual marriage. Here is what homosexual leaders say about their efforts to kill the FMA. "Being queer is more than setting up house, sleeping with a person of the same gender and seeking state approval for doing so... Being queer means ... transforming the very fabric of society." Those are the words of Patti Ettelbrick, former legal director of the (homosexual) Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund.
Michelangelo Signorile, homosexual activist and writer, said: "[The goal of homosexuals is to] fight for same-sex marriage and its benefits and then, once granted, redefine the institution of marriage completely ... The most subversive action lesbian and gay men can undertake ... is to transform the notion of 'family' entirely."
Does your Representative support homosexual marriage?
This war isn't over, it has just begun. Every Representative in the House is up for re-election in November! Your participation carries more clout than in the Senate where only one third of the Senators are up for re-election.
Now you see the importance of 3,000,000 signatures on the petition supporting the Federal Marriage Amendment. We already have 2,000,000. We need an additional 1,000,000 signatures by early September! We can't do it without your help!
If you have not signed the petition, please do so today. After you sign, please forward this alert to as many others as you can. The only way we have of reaching our goal is by you forwarding this email. If you have already signed the petition, take a minute to forward this to your friends. Click here to sign the petition.
These petitions will be presented to the House of Representatives prior to the vote in the House. Congress has never received a petition with 3,000,000 signatures. This will be a wake up call for Representatives who plan to vote for homosexual marriage.
Time is short. We have only a few weeks to secure the 1,000,000 names. Get involved! Make this the most signed petition in history! Send a message! The homosexual activists and liberal Congressmen are trying to push homosexual marriage down our throat. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, dont let them!

What more do you need to know?
Their representative list is outdated. Peter Deutsch got redistricted out after the 2000 census, and Lincoln Dias-Balart represents the area now.
The site says my reps are "undetermined" (so far). But thanks for the reminder. I'll send email and/or call them both up before September.
Yes. It is outdated. Our former Rep. William Janklow is in jail, not in the House.
I think I can count on my Rep Tom DeLay is not pro-gay. Anybody want to argue that?
My Representative Virgil Goode (R-VA 5th dist.) supports the Federal Marriage Amendment, the Constitution Restroation Act of 2004 and the Houses of Worship Political Protection Act. Many think that he would make a good replacement for Senator John Warner (RINO-VA) when he retires. Congressman Goode is a true conservative.
Does anyone here have a copy of the Bill text to post? If not, I'll get it later. ...need to go out for a bit now.

President Bush is pushing Congress hard to pass the Federal Marriage Amendment, but the battle is not most pressing at the Federal level. The real fight is going on at the State, County, and Municipal levels of government. This is a huge battle, and the liberals have already mobilized millions of citizens to petition all levels of government. *** Your assistance in signing this petition is desperately needed now! ***
This Fight Will Take Tens of Millions Of Signatures To Be Successful
The gay activist community has been putting a massive effort into destroying the traditional family through the courts and legislation. They have mobilized millions of supporters. We must have more, and we cannot do it without you!
Unlike the other petitions that focus solely on Congress, we are building a list of people that want to stand against the anti-marriage activists on all levels of government. As we fight - emails, letters, and petitions will be sent in your name and the names of millions of your fellow co-signers so that lawmakers know the importance of this issue. Our advanced petition system allows you to determine how your voice is heard: SIGN NOW!
I am pretty sure, my Rep., Steve Chabot, was a co-sponsor of the bill as well. The Hamilton County Democratic Party newsletter, oops, I mean, the Cincinnati Enquirer (gosh, it's so hard to tell them apart these days) criticized him for it. Also, he chairs the subcommittee in which the bill is being introduced. My guess is that if he were opposed to it, someone else's subcommittee would get it.
Here's what I needed to know. I don't sign anything without seeing the text of what is being signed. This is definitely a "go" and is better than the Senate version. I'm signing it.
