'The Passion' spurred predictions of wrath, violence. Didn't happen.

So far, however, "nothing has happened," says J. Shawn Landres, a University of Judaism professor who co-edited an upcoming book on the movie's impact, "After the Passion Is Gone."

Fredriksen remains unapologetic, saying Gibson supporters have "redefined anti-Semitic violence" to exclude anything less than "dead bodies strewn everywhere." As Fredriksen sees it, even "hostile atmospheres" qualify as violence.

In the U.S., there have been "50 to 100" reports of Jewish youths being labeled Christ-killers by classmates since the movie debuted, says Abraham Foxman, director of the Anti-Defamation League and one of the leading critics of the film. ...[snip]

So far, the evidence shows there's far more danger of angry mob reaction at a screening of F-9/11 or a Linda Ronstadt concert than at a showing of The Passion. Gotta wonder if that says something.

The truth is we are witnessing prophecy taking place via headlines. As to when He will come, only He knows. Mortal date setting is most unwise.

At 2% of the American population of 280 million, means there were 100 incidents out of 5.6 million Jews.

Abe Foxman's actions to take-down the film before it opened were the most hate-filled actions of all. As a result of his hate, I myself no longer support aid to Israel. Aid to Israel should be viewed in the context of separation of church and state. By supporting Israel, the U.S. government is favoring and advocating one religion over other religions. This is constitutionally wrong.

From my perspective as a Jew, Paula Fredriksen joins Abe Foxman as an unrelenting, ignorant bigot, perfectly willing to accuse Christians of being unable to resist the siren call th their latent antisemitism. These two - and many others of like mind - ought to look in a mirror before they speak. Or perhaps they could just look at each other, to see how pathetic their false warning makes them look.

What they aren't telling you is that there are that many every year and it has been going on before Gibson's movie. It is always going on and will continue to do so. You don't need a movie to blame that on, there are Anti-Semites enough to go around.
