ABC News- 'Noted Now' Latest Political Breaking News ^ | 7/20/04

Posted on 07/20/2004 1:11:47 PM PDT by gopwinsin04

SEN. SAXBY CHAMBLISS: 'Reportedly these documents are related to homeland security and then suddenly we see the Kerry campaign came forward with what may have been illegal documents. This is sensitive stuff and was a significant breach of security...Kerry knows better than to use these documents,' Chambliss says in a press conference.

SEN. GORDON SMITH: 'There is a curious connection between the removal of these documents and the Kerry press conference on port security..It's disappointing what people might do as they try and take the President down.

I don't know. Berger says he knew about the investigation since October. Do you really think they would have used information knowing that the Feds knew the info was stolen. Doesn't make sense.

Stuffing secret documents down your pants---- like a third-rate shoplifter stealing underwear at Wal-Mart---- is the desperate act of a very, very worried individual on the verge of paranoia.

The stolen documents must be extraordinarily incriminating to Berger and the Clintons----like showing the 911 Commission Al Queda was not a priority foe the Clintons. pantload Berger was scared silly somebody would see what was there, and was determined to remove them.

Berger's admissions indicate he must be caught on tape doing the dastardly deed since a Clintonoid has a distinct aversion to admitting to a crime.

These liberals are so predicatble. Berger will cop the "victim" defense to save his stinking skin. It's typical of the Clintonoid spin cycle........ to claim victimhood while committing crimes against the state.

The media's first republican interviewed was Trent"the wimp" Lott.

This should be a blood bath for two reasons.

1. Documents were stollent to hide "something" from the 9/11 commission.

2. Information contained in the stollen documents was used in Kerry campain materials.

Do you read my posts? If you look at my posts, I have constantly said that he stole the papers. I explained in my early posts the proceedures at the Archives. It is impossible to "inadvertently" take documents.

You are allowed to take in a pencil. They give you note paper. When you leave, you show the note paper to the staff. They look at the note paper to make sure that none of the papers are archive material, which is stamped.

My whole point has been that this was no accident; he stole the papers.

The reason, tho' matters.

If he was required to work at the archives, this would be very difficult because you can only take notes. To prepare testimony for the 9-11 Commission with only notes but no documents would be very hard. Therefore, Berger may have just taken the documents home to work on.

One poster said that some people with security clearances can take papers off site. If Berger was allowed to do this but stole the papers, that is more sinister, in my view.

This thread is called "Senate Republicans Accuse John Kerry of Using Classified Info Stolen by Sandy Berger."

On FOX News, the Republican Senator I heard said, "John Kerry knows better than to accept classified documents, IF HE DID."

That's a Republican Senator on FOX NEWS. Not Democratiac talking points.

Get it through your head.....THERE IS NO GOOD REASON TO TAKE CLASSIFIED INFO FROM A SECURE FACILITY WITHOUT PERMISSION!!!!!! Your attempts to legitimize it are weak and demoRAT like. Spin, spin, spin.

One thing I know, my son took his security clearance VERY seriously but my guess is that the X42 administration certainly treated security very casually.

They did and certainly their National Security Adviser did also.....unless this was deliberate......which I suspect it was/////

Are you a lawyer,or do you just try to play on FR?

The title of this thread pertains to the two Senators in the article. Was the Senator you saw on T.V. one of these two men? NO? Don't know? Have NO idea what you're talking about? All of the previous?

FACT...it is against the law,to remove anything you're looking at,at the NA.

FACT...it is a CRIMINAL ACT to remove and then destroy/lose said documents.

FACT...Nobody cares about your comfort,at the NA and removing documents, because you 1)need more time and/or 2)you are "UNCOMFORTABLES"....IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO REMOVE NOTES,PAPERS,AND DOCUMENTS,FROM THE NA,FOR ANY REASON !

Hey Sandy...that you? Your spin isn't working here, dear boy. :-)

P.S.

Hey...............where are the answers and/or refutation to MY other posts? I've read yours, but YOU ignore mine, except to attempt to accuse me of things I have not done and to keep repeating your kneepad mewlings. So,to repeat,WHERE DID I USE PROFANITY? WHERE DID I FLAME YOU?WHERE DID I CALL YOU A THIEF? WHERE DID I NAME CALL? Come on,at least try to answer these questions and WHY YOU'VE GONE AFTER ME,WHEN MANY OTHESRS HAVE CALLED YOU A TROLL AND OBJECTED TO YOIUR POSTING?

Snapple is a troll. There's absolutely NO other explination, unless he is incapable of understanding the situation;which I doubt.

And yes,the Clintons and their horde think that they are all ABOVE the law.Thesdy also don't care one whit about our national security.

You are changing the goalposts for me. First you said I didn't "admit" Berger stole documents. But that was my whole point in explaining the proceedures of the Archives.

The way they have their security you can't "inadvertently" take documents.

Now you claim I said there was a "good reason" to take documents.

I never said this. I was trying to explain what might be his motives. Many people take home secret papers just so they can work at home. That is a fact.

You can't fight the BFEE (Bush Family Evil Empire) without "breaking the rules". Bushco is a CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION. A Mafia style EVIL global network of demons who have illegally taken over our goverment in a coup. The only thing Berger has done wrong is get caught. Remember, the Justice Department has been taken over by criminals. The media is covering up Bushco crimes. What are the "good guys" supposed to do? Shed your leftist puritan impulses. Support Sandy Berger and don't apologize for anything EVER. We're all crime fighters now. Berger wasn't covering up anything, he was collecting "human intelligence" to help fight "the dark side". Thankyou for trying Mr. Berger.

You know, I was checking out LP a day or so ago and I found people there saying almost the exact same things. The only difference was that they didn't tout any leftists.

But they sure did sound just like them.

Oh really? Many people take home THE MOST SECRET OF SECRET NATIONAL SECURITY DOCUMENTS,so they can be "more comfortable"? That's how it works? This is no biggie;why don't they just allow everybody to take anything and everything home,so that they can be C-O-M-F-O-T-A-B-L-E? Right? And "?losing" some documents and requesting copies of them And then LOSING them yet again, really really,REALLY aids in the COMFORT LEVEL! Yep,that MUST be it! :-)

Just how bloody stupid do YOU think FREEPERS are? LOL

And just WHY are YOU attempting to 1)make Sandy Berger's THEFTS appear to be for his "COMFORT" 2)supplying him with a bogus excuse 3)here anyway?

That's WHY almost all of them, over at LP,have been banned from FR. And those who haven't been, should be.

If you have to go through masses of documents to prepare a big report for the 9-11 commission, it would be difficult to do at the archives.

It isn't just a matter of comfort. The hours of the archives are limited. Service getting the files is very slow. You can only take written notes.

People sometimes take home work so they can do a good job.
This is against the law, but the motive is usually to get work done well.

I guess we don't know if Berger had authorization to take materials away.

To the contrary, we do know. Otherwise, he would not be getting visits from the FBI. But whether we know that or not is immaterial. We do know that he intentionally carried classified materials to an area that was not secure where he managed to "lose" some of them. From the AP:

When asked, Berger said he returned some of the classified documents, which he found in his office, and all of the handwritten notes he had taken from the secure room, but said he could not locate two or three copies of the highly classified millennium terror report.

For one to review classified material, three criteria must be met: The individual must have a SECURITY CLEARANCE appropriate for the material. One must have a NEED TO KNOW. And one must be in a SECURE AREA. In addition to removing materials without authorization and without the special handling required, Berger took them to an area that was not secure.

Even Sandy Berger hasn't used your pathetically STUPID excuse.

But just keep repeating it,ignoring ALL else.Yeah......that'll keep us all interested. ROTFLMSO

How many more times are you going to post this? It's spamming, dear, and against posting rules.Since you have NOTHING else to say,you really should just quite now.
