Great!!!

While reading it, thoughts of the Gore/Rolling Stone air- brushed "package" came to mind.

I wonder what Gore had hiding down the front of his pants, maybe some ice tea, or perhaps a copy of the Norwood Dingleberry bill?

Yours is a wonderfully written piece, and thank you for it. As I read, I found myself growing nostalgic not merely for the misbegotten schemes of my own callow youth, but for a time and place where misdeeds had consequences, and grown-ups actually ruled the roost. I suspect that if elected, Kerry/Edwards would reprise Clinton/Gore in the latter's studied pose of non-intentionality. With that bunch it was always accidental or inadvertent or unknowing, and some Republicans' fault, besides.

From now on, everyone will have the "inadvertently down my pants" excuse ready for instant deployment.

The Clinton variant: "Inadvertently out of my pants"

Classified documents were "inadvertently down my pants".
They were there "accidentally", you can see at a glance.
When covering Bill’s behind,
the national press will not mind.
While the worst that will happen are a few Republican rants.
