Ambassador Joe Wilson, announced as a scheduled guest for the Monday, July 19 installment of the News Hour on PBS by Jim Lehrer on Friday, was a complete no show.
To quote Lehrer from approximately 6:04 into the online version of the Shields and Safire segment from Friday - "we're going to have a segment on that with Wilson and a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday".
And there was absolutely no mention or explanation of his absence today.
There was a 'which of these things is not like the other' spot on the financial difficulties on Inner City Oakland, California, Schools. There was a re-broadcast of a gay marriage essay from May. But no Joe Wilson. No Senator from the Senate Intelligence Committee.
And no clues from Jim Lehrer.
::Update:: I've sent off an e-mail and web form inquiry to the News Hour staff for comment. I'll post anything I get back.
I believe Arnold has revived a catch phrase, with the help of the homophobia PC police.
I'm guessing he won't show up on O'Reilly anytime soon.

GW has a bit of Columbo in him. He comes off as being a bit clutzy but wins in the end. The Dems have not figured this out yet, lets hope they never do.

It appears the "sophisticated elitest diplomats" and "others" in Washington and the world, are learning you can't slap the White House "Tar Baby" around and get away clean....
Other folks have "misunderestimated" President Bush, and laughed at his "strategery"......but we will all see who laughs last....
I don't think I can hold my water-----waiting for a FACE TO FACE debate between Kerry and President Bush.....
