July 19, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — American officials believe that millions of dollars Saddam Hussein skimmed from the scandal-plagued U.N. oil-for-food program are now being used to help fund the bloody rebel campaign against U.S. forces and the new Iraqi government, The Post has learned.

U.S. intelligence officials and congressional investigators said last night that the "oil-for-insurgency link" has been recently unearthed in the numerous probes now under way into the giant U.N. humanitarian program, in which Saddam is believed to have pocketed $10.1 billion through oil smuggling and kickbacks from suppliers.

The anti war people are right - this was a war about oil. However they do not seem a bit concerned when given the facts that it was our enemies that profited from the oil deals.

1. The UN oil for food was one of the biggest money laundering schemes that the world has ever seen. Not only was Sadaam able to use this money to sustain his oppulent lifestyle, kill his own citizens, continue to develop more weapons of mass destruction, he did so with a wink wink nod nod of countries such as France Germany and Russia and

2. The very people who said they were our friends, were getting rich off of this money laundering scheme. They of course opposed the war under the pretense that somehow they are morally superior than the US - when really they justed wanted to be able to continue skimming money out of the program, full well knowing that it was killing millions of innocent Iraqis.

3. these nations were able to gain public support for continuing this fraudulant program through the left in America. The American left made President Bush the target of their hate campaign, ignoring the fact that their words and deeds were being used by terrorists and nations such as France and Germany to cover up their own greed and crimes.

So concerned are these leftist organizations in gaining back power, that they are willing to ignore the blatant violations by these naions and terrorists against the philophies behind the groups very reason for existing.

Human rights groups ignored the millions of Iraqis that Sadaam tortured and murdered.

Feminist groups ignored the treatment of women as property.

Childrens groups ignored millions of children dying of starvation.

Envioronmental groups ignored Sadaam poioning the air,water and people.

Peace groups ignored the fact that Sadaam refued to get rid of weapons of nass destruction.

Communist groups refused tp condemn the private corps throughout the world getting rich by paying Sadaam bribes to get this oil.

these groups spread lies hate and propaganda against our President, without the slightest regard to our troops saftey and the fact that our enemies would use it against us.
