How do you figure?
And since when do we use such terms as "hateful" to describe communication, thoughgts, and ideas around here?
We aren't the leftists and thought police.
Sheesh!

The iPod now accounts for nearly 30% of Apple's revenue and they are not gaining any market share computer-wise. So if the iPod loses it's lustre, Apple is in deep trouble. It seems Apple is imbedding itself into the entertainment biz as a hedge. The Ipod is the tip of the iceberg. Revenue streams now include legal downloads of songs. That gives Apple a Wal-Mart like front end power that the other computer makers don't have....yet.
If Apple keeps innovating, for example the new 30" cinema screen is awesome, they will be fine.
Once they stop wowing the consumer, they'll die. Don't bet on that happening..

Nitz - that one's been in the back of my head for three years waiting for the right thread.
Sadly - you know I'm being serious ;)

Yes, I see where you are going with this.
Arrogance of man and all.
Good call.

Yeah, Jobs is a leftie, but he's a first rate capitalist.
Apple innovates-how much more American can you get?

Neil ("I Am" I Said) Diamond is doubly damned, but that was probably true anyway. I learned how to imitate Neil Diamond: Exhale all the air from your lungs, then start singing without inhaling. Not easy, but it works.

After all, the iPod is really just a highly sophisticated beeber like device (cheap on the streets of Tiajunna) Yeah -- I was stuned how inexpensive it was...

Besides the iPod, Apple doesn't have anything else that is growing. Wrong. Apple just had their best 3rd quarter in 8 years.
There is a worldwide shortage of Macs because Apple and IBM can't make them fast enough to meet the demand.

You guys are brutal! You can't make that big a mistake around here and not take a bit of a shellacking. Other than that one whacko post about "hateful" I think you're getting an appropriate, good-natured, ribbing.
I think your point is "pride goeth before a fall" but I think that territory is pretty well mined out.

I am not a music nut, but I carry about an hour and twenty minutes of music on my iPAQ. With headphones or my FM transmitter the sound is great. The rest of my storage goes to maps for my GPS. I could upgrade media cards and get probably 4 - 5 hours of music, plus my maps.
I can transfer DVDs to my media card and watch them anywhere, anytime.
Right now it is streaming NASA TV. I may take it into the bathroom when I shower.
I can check my non-web based email and browse Free Republic anywhere I can get a wireless connection. I have my Outlook contacts, Word and Excel.
iPAQ, therefore I am.

Another right-wing ignoramus. Now run and hide in shame!
The point is, and it's nothing new that he is claiming himself a god...
Where does he claim "himself a god"? A magazine puts a headline on his picture, and you accuse JOBS of proclaiming himself a god?
You are a sad little moron.

You gotta read this article. Truly a contender for some kind of award. Indeed. Its truly ridiculous conclusion is only overshadowed by the factually defective premise.
If the poster is this concerned about the evils of people putting their names on products and companies, one wonders what his take must be on "Oral Roberts University" or "Bob Jones University" etc.
