You're kidding right? Do you know how many live here? Lots. The US has not extended hands to a lot of people these days. Most are preferring to go to Canada or New Zealand now.

I am unaware of any US immigration programs for white Zimmies/Rhodies or SA folks based on refugee or sanctuary status.

There are a fair number of SAers here , most I've known were pre Apartheid's ending.

They don't fit the definition of genocide. Yet. Most of the SAs I know black and white came here during the 1980s both for better opportunities but for different reasons. Why should it be limited to white Zimbabweans when it's blacks who will be primarily starving and suffering? Better than that, US should be supporting getting rid of Mugabe and installing democracy once again there.

Most of the world are refugess of some sort relative to us.

However, we did ask them to relinquish power for whatever that's worth.

I believe the UK and Commonwealth have granted some refugee status and not strictly whites.

For whatever reason, my friends seem to have it easier going to other countries than coming here. Actually I have two friends,one already here that is black and having a hard time getting citizenship papers. BTW,a big reason why many white people in SA can't leave is because of red tape in obtainng things like birth certificates,etc.

Not only has the USA not done that,we have made it extremely difficult for them to even try to emmigrate here.

The people on this site,who just keep mouthing THEY SHOULD ALL JUST LEAVE,should just stop posting that.It hurts those of us who would like nothing better than to get friends and relations out and can't.

I'm afraid you're right. Although having faith in God and prayer are important and must be done and is even a huge part of life, there is a time that you have to take action for yourself too by using the sense that God has given you. I guess if I was an Afrikaaner, I would know I would have two choices, buy an M1 Garand or an M-14, loads of ammo, and have a loyal group of my fellow farmers do the same and fight or prepare to do so, or two, leave. I would feel like doing the former, but there is some sweet Schadenfreude in the latter too where basically I would say, "well you're making it hard for me to grow food and feed this country, here you have it and see if you can do better but if all of yuns starve, don't come cryin' to me."

Even my mother always said that when she sees Nelson Mandela on TV, "they should have 'sent him to sleep with the fishes' when they had the chance." I tend to agree, I know it is a bit Machiavellian but the guy's a Marxist. Aparteid was not a good system at all, but I think there could have been work accomplish between say the Zulu's and the White government of the time to phase out aparteid while not giving into Mandela and his Communist hoards. Maybe I'm a bit harsh with Mandela and Co. but whenever these tinpot Marxists whine and later get into power, they leave a lot more misery in their wake. There are times you might have to act like Tony Sopranos especially if there is more good that will come out of it in the long run. Reality often gives us unpleasant choices.

They are NOT "Dutch and British" at all; THEY ARE SOUTH AFRICANS!And the Afrikaners have lived in South Africa,far longer than many of the blacks,who live there now.The white population of South Africa is Boer(whose ancestry is Dutch,French,and English;however,that is 300 years removed!)and those with Portuguese,Hungarian,German,English,and many other ancestry.

And these people,along with the coloured and blacks,who don't like what the ANC MARXISTS have turned their nation into,can NOT just pick up and go anywhere.

And since you think it's so easy to "just leave",I suggest that you try to do it,with the same challenges( money limits,visa lottery,etc.) that face those in South Africa,whom you "feel" can just go anywhere.

You are right. It is a question which I often struggle with, and I do take heart from the Irish and Cuban examples, who were able to create communities outside their home countries. I hope that the Afrikaner people survive this, it will be a tragedy if that nation disappears.
