What about language? Afrikaans is very loosely related to Flemish, as the closest European language, but not so that it is easily mutually understood by in speaking or writing by either nation. Afrikaners speak English out of necessity to do business, as does 90% of the world. And by the way, the British murdered thousands of Afrikaners, so your association is an insult. Something is going on. I just talked to another one. Zim > SA > England > U.S. They killed his mother and father. They got his farm but he seems to have at least a nestegg.

I have seen lots of these guys, mostly Indians but a lot of whites also. There seems to be an underground railroad with L-1s. They are pretty tightlipped but they are getting visas and they can get out.

L-1's only apply to the people employed as managers by multinationals, or researchers. Not to many of those around among the farmers, but it is one way out of SA and into the US. And it's not that easy...

Please be so kind as to explain how the apartheid government of South Africa was any worse, or for that matter any different than the rest of sub-Sahara Africa. It's all tribalism and only the fact that the ruling party (tribe) was white makes people claim it was somehow worse.
