Another possibility is if this was a 737-7H4 (-700 series, H4 is Boeing's customer code for Southwest), it could be a brand new aircraft. You mix all the chemicals emitting from the epoxy, carpeting, upholstery, paint, etc and you can get enough to make sensitive people very sick. Apparently that happened on a KLM 777-206ER on one of its first flights.

There weren't any Middle Eastern musicians traveling on board, were there?

This late, I wonder if the attendants thought they were sleeping.
To: ZinGirl
12 people were unconscious and they think it might be food related? I don't think so.

Food related story says 12 sick, one unconscious.
We won't get a straight story for a little while on this.

Depending on the flight, you may also get some kind of cheese, crackers, and Slim-Jim type thing.

Depending on the flight, you may also get some kind of cheese, crackers, and Slim-Jim type thing. Well, the only time I could keep a Slim Jim down was when I'd had four beers.
Food's not gonna provoke this reaction in one hour.
