Liberals love nothing better than to portray George W. as the representative of the interests of the rich. Okay, Bush accumulated a decent bit of change, during his career as a baseball manager.
But it gives me a kick, that Bush is the poorest of the 4 men running for President and VP. But the media will not focus on that. You will hear John Edwards being portrayed as a mill worker who lost his job through outsourcing to Mexico, and Kerry felt so sorry for this laid-off mill worker, that he made him his running mate. No one will mention that Edwards is richer than Bush.
And no one will mention Kerry's half-billion dollar fortune. Even Dick Cheney is richer than Bush.
Do you have any figures on their individual worth? I'd like to use it to enlighten and perhaps sway some people.
I'll say this for ya. You have a way with phraseology. GWBush is worth in excess of $20 million. The word poor doesn't enter into the political lexicon in Bush`s regard.
Technically, Bush owned the Texas Rangers. He wasn't their manager. Personally, I think Dick Cheney is the most successful of all four candidates.
Cheney is worth $50-$80 million.
Edwards is worth maybe $50 million.
And poor old PreszBush is worth in excess of $20 million.
"...The word poor doesn't enter into the political lexicon in Bush`s regard..."
Its technically accurate. I just wanted to use the term "poor" for shock value.
"...Personally, I think Dick Cheney is the most successful of all four candidates..."
Cheney and Edwards are at the $50 million range. Kerry, assuming he did not sign a pre-nup, has half of a $500 million fortune.
Did you know of the four only President Bush has class.
Interesting. Thanks much.
I don't know how much actual shock value you created. Probably very little, outside of the emotional pinheads. If you mean that Bush is inferior in overall value to Kerry, Cheney and Edwards, then you're correct. But in the big picture that means very very little at this point. Bush is extremely wealthy. Probabaly in the top 1/10th of 1% percentile of all richest Americans.
If you take away the Heinz ketcup fortune Kerry shares in some fashion with the godess Theraza, JFK is worth less then PrezBush is worth. The point is, this shouldn't even be an issue. The wealth factor won't sway voters in any significant numbers and if you think it will, you don't comprehend American politics very well.
Let's stick to the issues. Kerry and Edwards are liberals and Bush and Cheney are conservatives. Liberals believe governemnt holds all the answers and Bush Cheney believe in individualism of the Amewrican people.
I have to respectfully disagree. Cheney is loaded with class.
Right. PresBush has a lot of class. Dick Cheney has more class in his little finger then Kerry and Edwards have in their entire being.
Hey, our Dick is classy!
VP Cheney has class too, lots of it!
Politically, who knows.
Rank them on the gravitas-levitas scale and there is a clear divide between the Rs and the Ds.
Well, let's just say he's the least wealthy. :o)
Did you also know the senate is a Democrat (Rockefeller) and the poorest is a Republican who is earning the senate salary?
Cheney is indeed a successful man, and he did it on his own.
"Did you know of the four only President Bush has class."
Did you know that a question always ends with question mark?
haha ! Bush is the LEAST wealthy of the 4 would probably be a more fitting way to put it. :^DAnd did you know that ? .....
