If I worked for Ditka, I would not want to be the one who leaked any story.
To: ambrose
Ditka blew his stack? Hmmm ... now there's a surprise!
To: ambrose
With emotional control such as that it is best he not try to run for public office.
To: ambrose
Well, if you can't tolerate being screwed with by the press, then "United States Senator" is probably not the job for you.

Darn......I want Iron Mike.

Heck, if he's that thin skinned, he probably doesn't belong in politics anyway. If he stays, he better learn to live with and handle leaks, not throw temper tantrums because of them. But then, maybe the leaked story isn't true....

Last night on the NFL Network, there was some film of coaches vs. the press, featuring Iron Mike. I would pay good coin to have a front-row seat for Senator Ditka's first press conference!
Best footage was of Bill Parcells calling reporters "commies'!
To: ambrose
I guess he wasn't too serious about applying for the job.

Todd Swerski's going to have another heart attack!

Great publicity, in my opinion.
Takes the media attention away from that creep Obama, shows those cretins in the Windy City that the coach is still the coach and demonstrates his decisiveness and character.
Who's that wimp running against him, again?
To: ambrose
"was angered when met by reporters"
Mike, this is why it is called "public office".

If he is so petty that he can't take that, he surely can't take the ugliness of politics.

Doesn't Mike know that the press hates Republicans and was directly responsibile for sinking the first guys candidacy??
Lesson one: The media hates Republicans unless you are a wacky liberal republican who often publicly diagrees with your party (See McLame).

He's not going to win unless he get's Buddy Ryan to handle the defense.

If he's that overly sensitive, he doesn't need to be considering politics.
Maybe he could coach peewee football or something.
