Hes not far from qualifying for this site:
Thanks for the info.
It was 15 or 20 years ago. It was Darryl Hannah (girlfriend at the time) IIRC. About as current news as GW being a drinker. Why do the good people at Free Republic have to stoop so low? All I hear is that we're so much better than the opposition and then we trot out this bull.
"I never assaulted Daryl Hannah, and this fact was confirmed by the investigation conducted at the time by the Santa Monica Police Department," Browne says in a statement. "I am gratified that Fox has agreed to take these steps."
lol.....either tune would've been appropriate.
Did he pay a fine? Or did he get off because he was a rich celeb?
No doubt John Kerry is all excited because he's actually standing next to someone who slept with someone who slept with John F. Kennedy, Jr. It practically makes Kerry a Kennedy... or at least sort of a common law lover-in-law, to JFK, Jr., right?
Jackson Browne Gets Apologies From TV Shows Over False Allegation

(7/18/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- Jackson Browne has gotten two TV shows to drop references to the long-standing rumor of his attack on his former girlfriend, actress Darryl Hannah.
Fox Television Studios, which produced America's Prince: The JFK Jr. Story, has deleted any mention of Browne in two scenes that refer to him assaulting Hannah. In a statement, Browne said, "I never assaulted Daryl Hannah, and this fact was confirmed by the investigation conducted at the time by the Santa Monica Police Department. I am gratified that Fox has agreed to take these steps."
America's Prince documented the life of the late John F. Kennedy Jr., who dated Hannah after her relationship with Browne ended. The movie first aired in January on the TBS cable network, and Browne sent a cease-and-desist letter shortly afterward.
In addition, a different show has issued an apology to Browne and deleted references to him and Hannah. The VH1 program When Cameras Cross The Line, which is about celebrity photographers, has dropped footage pertaining to Browne and Hannah. Also, the beginning of the show now includes this apology: "In a previous version of this program, we incorrectly reported an alleged incident involving singer Jackson Browne and actress Daryl Hannah. Mr. Browne has always denied that such an incident occurred, and local authorities have reported to the media that based upon their investigation, the incident previously reported in our program did not occur. We have deleted that material from our program, and we apologize to Mr. Browne for its inclusion."
In a statement, Browne's manager said, "Jackson is appreciative that the producers moved so quickly to correct the program and to apologize to Jackson."
Browne is on the road with Steve Earle and Keb' Mo'. Their next show is Friday (July 18) at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
His latest album is the Naked Ride Home, which was released last September.
Doctor, my EYES!
"I'm fascinated by Rap and Hip-Hop I think there's a lot of poetry in it. There's a lot of anger, a lot of social energy in it. And I think you'd better listen to it pretty carefully, 'cause it's important."
"All right Jackson, let's see your best 'Monica Lewinsky'..."
Oh, the beard's a nice touch, Jackson. Perhaps you should consider wandering around town pushing around an old shopping cart in a moth-eaten overcoat.
It appears we will never know the truth, but as I recall the police were called to their residence for something somewhat late one night.
I do know that his first wife committed suicide about 3 years after they had a son.
Kerry's running on empty.
Sigh. "Late for the Sky" is still one of the all-time best albums.
Saturate Before Using is even better than LFTS (which I agree is a realy fine record, uh, I mean, CD)
Jackson Browne, the Perry Como of rock schlock!
Loved the scene in The Don where the mafia protagonist puts the hurt on Darrel Hannah's boyfriend after the beau pummeled her. If you wonder who Hannah's real life boyfriend was that almost killed her, it is none other than Jackson Browne! Art mimics reality at times.
