Now what is it that everybody keeps saying around here, "There's not a dime's worth of difference?"
I said NOTHING derogatory about him during
the funeral, but he is a hate-filled little
creep.
Bill Buckley has apparently written an open letter to him, which shows him to be a liar. Heard it on Rush's show.
Kerry will reverse a whole lot of things .. not just stem cells policy
Doesn't matter, Kerry will never get the chance.
Give Kerry a few more weeks and he will be saying he will restore Saddam Hussein back to power
I don't understand how anyone who's paying attention can say that... but I've seen them on this forum. Amazing.
OK, *Ron*, tell us how embryonic stem cell research will help with Alzheimers? You're such an expert on this, let us know what the advantages are of embryonic stem cell research on any brain disease.
I'm going to have to dig up some articles I saw a few years ago on the results of embryonic stem cell experiements on people with Parkinson's Disease. The results were disasterous and horrific!
So, shut the flip up, *Ron*, until you know what you're talking about.
Why are these people so obsessed with (embryonic) stem cells? In repeated research, EMBRYONIC stem cells have had no success whatsoever. However, adult stem cells, as well as those from placentas and umbilical cords, have shown promise.
In fact, a couple of days ago, I read about some experiments with the stem cells found in fat, which succeeded in mice to the point that the stem cells (gathered from their own fat through liposuction) were able to grow bone. This is much more useful: one's own fat cells, growing a tissue or organ that will not be rejected. (Sorry, I don't think they have to remove many fat cells to do this...)
Doesn't this put the lie to Kerry's latest statement on abortion? If he writes an EO forcing stem cell research on aborted babies, isn't he forcing his religious opinion on others?
Well, not EVERYBODY is saying that :-)
Now what is it that everybody keeps saying around here, "There's not a dime's worth of difference?"
I have a name for people who believe there's no difference: idiots. Bush is more liberal than many of us would like. Kerry is Benedict Arnold with a side of Neville Chamberlain, a guy who figures making allusions to Michael Moore movies is a great way to show he's the next great American president. Comparing them is like comparing apples and brake shoes. You don't even have to like Bush to see that, though I do.
