Kerry's Intelligence Deficiency (kerry and intelligence briefings; outrage alert)
The American Spectator ^ | July 12 2004 | the prowler

THANKS, BUT NO THANKS While reporters have made much of Sen. John Kerry's decision to pass up a security and intelligence briefing and instead prep for a political fundraiser in New York, it hasn't been the first time, according to sources at the Central Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency and the Senate Intelligence Committee. In fact, Kerry hasn't been taking regular intelligence briefings for weeks.

"He's just not taking them. They have been offered by the Administration, we've offered, given everything that is going on," says an Intelligence Committee staffer. "But his campaign hasn't expressed any interest. I don't know how many he has had, but I bet it's fewer than one a week. And it's not like he is ever here." President Bush is known to take at least one formal intelligence briefing in the morning, with additional meetings during the day as needed.

Last week Kerry declined an intelligence briefing on the day that Homeland Security officials briefed both the House and the Senate on possible terrorist threats. Kerry, in New York for a fundraiser, passed up a full briefing, and instead had a shave and trim of his silver mane of hair he was so proud of when he boasted on Tuesday that he and his new prospective running mate, Sen. John Edwards, had better hair than their Republican opponents.

"If we're talking about the same intelligence that got us into this war in Iraq, why would we listen to them?" asks a Kerry campaign source. "The Senator has his own intelligence and security advisers who brief him regularly. This is just more political gamesmanship, and we aren't going to play."

Whoah! Now this is some good, good stuff that the RNC needs to pick up on. This reflects pure incompetence and ignorance about the nature of intelligence and its limits. The RNC needs to also add that whatever deficiencies there are with intelligence lie mainly at the feet of the dems who starved it, walled it and beat the crap out of it over the years.

Our side better start playing hard ball and start blasting these dems as incompletent and unqualified to lead.

And what makes Kerry think his advisors are better than the CIA, for crying out loud?

I think we have a right to know who his advisors are.

Who could be providing HIM intelligence???

He's on Al Quata and ANSWERs side. They're helping him during the Republican convention blow up NYC.

Sure... and I bet these advisors are all up-to-date on everything, and receive regular updates from CIA, NSA, MI etc

More like Michael Moore, Al Franken & Whoopie Goldberg

He couldn't make that meeting, either. He was getting his hair done.

Senator Kerry's security briefings seem to consist of A.N.S.W.E.R. handouts and a private screening of Michael Moore's latest regurgitation. He spews their idiology as if it were his own. Oh wait, it obviously is his own.

And it says that Kerry has his OWN intelligence people who give him briefings.

Isn't it great what way too much money can buy? Maybe Mrs. Kerry-Heinz bought them for him....

Rush made this exact point today on his show. Just who in the world does KerryKamp profess to get their intell from???

On another subject, Rush stated that Ron Reagan is now a speaker at the DUmmie convention, ostensibly about stem-cells, and that Ron is an avowed atheist. I hadn't heard about that last part.

A liberal, male ballerina atheist. Now, isn't that specccciall?! No wonder the left loves him. I think I heard that Bill Buckley is to be on Hannity & Crud tonight, it might be good.

"The Senator has his own intelligence and security advisers who brief him regularly."

When you have Michael Moore, why do you need the CIA?

Well, well, well isn't that just to cute for words. He has his own intelligence and security advisers.

Probably he means those "heads of state" that he met with while he was never out of gthe country, the ones he still refuses to name.

I only heard the first hour of Rush.

Did you hear Brent Baer at FNC report that the Senate Intelligence Report says that Al Qaeda terrorists were training Iraqi intelligence officer on HOW TO ATTACK THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

Not according to Rush who was referring to an interview that Bill Buckley did with Ron. Atheist, not Buddist supposedly.
