This thread with the links provided thus far. There are more links, I'm sure.
The link provided from 1999 and from another freeper toward the end of the first page is an interesting one.
But my guess is that it's a hard story to get information on right now and we'll have a hard time getting even the radio people to report on it. Their credibility is on the line if it doesn't pan out.

Libya trying to turn over a new leaf is starting to make more sense now. I agree.

You know, it was just recently (about 2 weeks ago) I learned you could copy a link like that and put it in your address bar and have the article show up.
And I'd already forgotten that which I recently learned! LOL
Thanks for reminding me. (hanging my head in shame)

Cool, if true. I also expect to find Iraqi WMDs in Syria.

What is this FDR era agreement? Color me curious and fascinated by this story.
This was as per Churchhill in reference to all intercepted messages and decoding of messages from German and Japanese military commanders/units and embassies.
FDR had to agree not to disclose the intel; where it came from, and how it was derived, if it came from the UK.
Disclosure can compromise sources, endanger sources and eliminate the intel edge.

How about sending Mr. Valerie Plame (aka, Joe Wilson) to Libya, to gather more information?

The John Batchelor show Huh? Is this before or after his report on Admiral Byrd's discovery of aliens under the South Pole. Oh wait that's from Art Bell and therefore more believable.
Not that I don't believe in the existence of Iraq's WMDs, it's just that I would have a hard time believing a weather report from John Batchelor, or his buddy John Loftus.

Two questions for the more informed:
Would Iran be the new nuclear nexus and Syria the new WMD nexus with Cuba and Velenzuela providing the jumping off point?
Did/are the French and Germans provide scientific and monetary help as they did for Iraq up to 1981 and again later?

Gotcha.
Do you think, if the info comes from the UK, they will come forward with the information at the appropriate time (which is hopefully before the election)?

That is what I am wondering too. Where does Syria fit into this? All those semis heading out of Iraq before the war started seem to be a non talking point any longer. Perhaps the REAL intel isn't being shared and stuff is going on behind the scenes that none of us have even dreamed about.
