Once again The Oklahoman has come through with one of the best editorials I have seen to date about Kerry and Edwards. Mark Green does a great job of explaining the differences to those not in tune with just how liberal the Dems have gone.

For those people here on FR that keep repeating the RAT mantra of the two parties are alike or the "sky is falling" or the "doom and gloom" crowd or the trolls who keep trying to downplay Republican chances in November -- this article is for all of you.

We have a clear choice this November. Time for some of you one issue people who threaten to stay home because they don't like something President Bush has said or done or threaten to vote 3rd party knowing the candidate cannot win realize that this election is for the heart and soul of this Country. We cannot allow the liberal ticket of Kerry/Edwards to win in November.

This mantra of teaching us a lesson is the dumbest thing we have heard of on here -- America's future is too important to "teach anyone a lesson by voting for a 3rd party or staying home."

Suggest you naysayers read this and if you don't understand then we know who the trolls are!

My mini rant for the morning.

Well said!

I am tired of being told that the single-issue, 3rd party voters are the ones w/principles.

I have principles, as well. What sort of principles lead people to abandon responsibility for the outcome of their votes?

In the largest town in my county we need only 122 votes over last year to elect W. In my township, the margin needed is only 42. We have 250 volunteers signed up to canvass independents and to GOTV. THESE are the people w/principles and they are willing to work for them.

The only lesson I learn from the selfish single issue voter is that some people want all the freedoms of America with none of the responsibilities and none of the hard work. Personally, I will hold each and everyone of them responsible if Kerry wins and will make sure to let everyone know who is responsible if that disaster takes place.

America's future is too important to "teach anyone a lesson by voting for a 3rd party or staying home."

A most important message. I hope people will realize that our country is at stake here. And now Kerry has promised to remove the ban on immigrants that have AIDS. What more do people need????

Mom, mom, mom you just don't get it. These whining one-issue nay sayers are a bunch of miserable people who want nothing else but for everyone else to be as angry and miserable as they are.

We could run a ticket of Alan Keyes/Pat Buchanon and they would bitch and complain about it not being conservative enough and how they are going to not vote blah blah blah.

Thanks so much for your "mini-rant". It is much needed since it seems there are some on these forums that think otherwise.

Yes, America's future is much too important to waste your vote on either Bush or Kerry. On every important point, they are the same.

Both will continue the war, with the draft almost a sure thing by mid 2005.
Both will sign an assault weapons extension.
Both are big spenders. The tax level is not important if the spending is way ahead of revenue with or without the tax cuts. The total spending is still taken from the economy one way or the other.
Neither proposes to repeal the Patriot Act, FISA or all the other unconstitutional horrors now in effect.
Neither gives a fiddler's f*rt for the constitution or our rights.

Vote for your own best interests, not out of party loyalty or foolish pride. Vote for Badnarik!

Your children and grandchildren will thank you.

I can't remember who said this but I thought it was terrific... (paraphrasing) ...

The one issue votes will be the ones to moan and groan about hanoi john's black robe tyrants who with one stroke of the pen will make the laws they want and the one issue voters don't. Laws we will be stuck with for DECADES until we can replace these life time 2-3 USSC justices that the next president will appoint.

The article is correct, there are significant differences that exist between the GOP and the Librats. However, while there are the occasional dissenters speaking out from the rightwings anti-Bush contingent, I don't see the same level of serious opposition we Bush supporters encountered back in 1999 and 2000. I haven't experienced the same level of widespread vitriol coming from the rightwings vocal group of malcontents, misfits and militants. OTOH, there does seem to be more inflitrators this time around coming in from the Democrats wacko leftwing.

The fight remains with the Democrats who advance the liberal agenda and their endless attempts to employ pure propaganda to discredit the President, denounce the economic recovery and undermine the war effort. With their crazed rhetoric, the liberal establishment is making every effort to appeal to the paranoids and sickos in our society. Rational folk will reject this effort at every opportunity. Hang on though, its gonna be a bumpy ride on a rough road to victory.

Bumpin' a righteous "mini-rant". LOL

Dr. Coburn is outstanding. I remember the salad days of the Gingrich Congress, when GOP freshman like Dr. Coburn, J.D. Hayworth, Jack Kingston, Lindsey Graham, Joe Scarborough, David McIntosh, Sue Myrick and others would have 11 pm Special Order House Floor sessions where great Conservative philosophy and strategizing took place.

My thoughts about the worth and motives of single-issue "holier than thou" Third Party folks around here mirrors your own.

My mini rant for the morning.

And a FINE rant it was, too !!! :^D

From the article:

By now probably everyone knows John Kerry is numero uno in the Senate when it comes to liberal pedigree, put there by the nonpartisan National Journal. According to the publication's analysis of voting records, Kerry is more liberal than Hillary Rodham Clinton, even more liberal than Teddy Kennedy. But guess what? So is John Edwards!

Edwards comes in at No. 4, which means the two of them together average out at 2.5. That's way, way out there. You have to flip back to Mondale-Ferraro (1984) or McGovern-(Eagleton)-Shriver ('72) to find a tandem as liberal. I think it's safe to say the Democratic Party's strategic, centrist tack under Bill Clinton was a detour. And it's over.

They are exactly right !!

Kerry-Edwards are the #1 and #4 most LIBERAL Senators.
They are THE MOST LIBERAL ticket ever!:

John Kerry's Rating

Senator John Kerry (D)
Massachusetts
Democrat, Years of Service: 19

ACU Ratings for Senator Kerry:
Year 2003 13
Year 2002 20
Lifetime 5

John Edward's Rating

Senator John Edwards (D)
North Carolina
Democrat, Years of Service: 5

ACU Ratings for Senator Edwards:
Year 2003 13
Year 2002 30
Lifetime 12

November 2nd, the two Johns will flush themselves:

Kerry: "I want to kiss you, Johnny."

Edwards: "Go for it, Johnny."

They will flush themselves!

Edwards: "Your mouthwash just ain't cuttin' it!!"

"My mini rant for the morning."

You left of center moderates won't win over us Conservatives by calling us names. The Kennebunkport frat boy could have had our votes had he taken his oath of office to Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America seriously. Instead he has sided with Feinstien, Clinton and Schumer on their anti-2nd Amendment jihaad and signed a bill (CFR) he himself said was un-Constitutional.

No man that breaks the oath of office will get my vote. It's that simple.
